The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) TRAVEX 2026 concluded successfully in Cebu, Philippines, reinforcing Southeast Asia’s position as one of the world’s most vibrant tourism regions. The prestigious travel trade event brought together tourism leaders, buyers, media representatives, and exhibitors from across the globe, creating an energetic platform for networking, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
Held from 28–30 January 2026 at the Mactan Expo Center, the three-day travel mart recorded more than 9,500 pre-scheduled business meetings, highlighting the strong international demand for ASEAN destinations and tourism experiences.

The exhibition featured 261 booths representing nine ASEAN countries and welcomed over 1,000 delegates. Around 270 international buyers from 50 countries and territories, along with nearly 70 media representatives from 25 countries, attended the event, turning Cebu into a dynamic global tourism marketplace.
The forum opened with an official ceremony led by Philippines Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, along with tourism ministers and leaders from ASEAN member nations. Delegates were also treated to a memorable cultural evening at the historic Mactan Shrine in Lapu-Lapu City, featuring traditional performances, local cuisine, and a festive celebration of Cebu’s heritage.
Throughout the forum, participants engaged in business meetings, destination briefings, and product presentations that showcased emerging travel experiences and new tourism initiatives across the ASEAN region.
For the Indian travel trade, events such as ATF TRAVEX serve as important gateways to Southeast Asian destinations. With increasing air connectivity from major Indian cities and growing outbound travel demand, ASEAN continues to remain a preferred region for leisure and cultural tourism. Tour operators from India, see strong opportunities in promoting multi-destination packages across the region.
The forum concluded with the ASEAN Tourism Awards and a closing dinner, celebrating excellence in tourism development.

Guided by the theme “Navigating Our Tourism Future, Together,” ATF TRAVEX 2026 highlighted sustainability, innovation, and community-based tourism as key priorities shaping ASEAN’s tourism future.
