The Yoga Ambassadors Tour organised by ATTOI successfully crossed Day 2 with accolades being showered by the yoga delegates on the organizers and the Kovalam beach. All the sixty yoga ambassadors took part in the one hour long morning yoga session lead by Dr Arun Tejas of Sri Chithra Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. Though Kerala has witnessed mass yoga sessions in the state, it was a new experience to watch this much foreigners doing yoga. Day two of the yoga tour started with a yoga session at the Leela Raviz Kovalam. All the sixty yoga ambassadors took part in the one hour long morning yoga session.   The session was lead by Dr Arun Tejas of Sri Chithra Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. “I’m following the techniques and asanas as prescribed by the AYUSH ministry’s common yoga protocol,” said Dr Arun after the session. The Yoga Ambassadors from almost 20 countries have arrived in the Kerala’s state capital, Thiruvananthapuram on June 13. The yoga team was first received by the ATTOI officials from the Trivandrum International airport. On their arrival at The Leela Raviz Kovalam, the delegates were given a traditional welcome by the hotel.

The Yoga Ambassadors has performed some yoga steps before the inaugural event at The Leela Raviz Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Yoga Ambassadors has received a grand welcome at The Leela Kovalam on the inaugural day of June 14. The yoga ambassadors were welcomed to the event with ‘Panchavadyam’, the traditional native temple orchestra of Kerala.  

Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State, (I/C), Ministry of AYUSH Government of India has inaugurated the Yoga Ambassador’s Tour at Leela Convention Centre in Thiruvananthapuram today. Yoga Ambassadors Tour would enhance the growth of tourism in Kerala, said Tourism Minister Kadakampalli Surender in the Kerala Legislative Assembly today.  While answering the queries of MLAs – Prathibha Hari, A N Shamsheer, C K Hareendran, and U R Pradeep- the minister stated that the Tourism ministry has taken all the necessary steps to facilitate the Yoga Ambassador Tour Programme, which is to be conducted on June 14 2018.
