Tourism industry of Hawaii islands has been gloomy, due to the recent eruption of Kilauea volcano. The cumulative expenditure loss to the tourism of Hawaii’s Big Island inflicted by the eruption may turn out to be as high as approximately 200 million U.S. dollars, a study found. Volcano eruptions are always been the center of attraction for tourists in the Hawaii Islands. However the recent eruption of the Kilauea volcano has caused slowdown in the tourist inflow in the region. This is followed by the mandatory evacuation and strict advisory of the authorities at the volcano eruption site. നസീര്‍ ഹുസൈന്‍ കിഴക്കേടത്ത് എട്ടു ദ്വീപുകളുടെ സമൂഹമാണ് ഹവായ്.  മിക്കവരും ബീച്ച് തേടി ഒആഹു ദ്വീപിൽ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ഞാൻ അഗ്നിപർവതങ്ങളെയും ലാവയും തേടി ഹവായ് ദ്വീപിലേക്ക്‌ പോയി. ദ്വീപസമൂഹത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ദ്വീപാണ് ഹവായ്. കേരളത്തിന്‍റെ നാലിൽ ഒന്നുമാത്രം വലുപ്പമുള്ള ഈ ദ്വീപിൽ അഞ്ചു അഗ്നിപർവതങ്ങളുണ്ട്. കനത്ത മഴയിലാണ് കോന ഇന്‍റർനാഷണൽ എയർപോർട്ടിൽ വിമാനമിറങ്ങിയത്. ഒഴുകി ഉറച്ച ലാവയുടെ നടുവിലേക്കാണ് വിമാനം ഇറങ്ങുന്നത്. ആദ്യം അമ്പരപ്പ് തോന്നുമെങ്കിലും ആദ്യ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ തന്നെ നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകും ഇവിടെയുള്ള എല്ലാം ഒരുതരത്തിൽ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മറ്റൊരുതരത്തിൽ ലാവയുടെ മുകളിലാണ് കെട്ടിപ്പൊക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. റോഡിലൂടെ കാറിൽ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ സ്റ്റോപ്പ് സൈൻ, മുമ്പില്‍ ലാവ റോഡിനു കുറുകെ ഒഴുകുന്നു. ഞങ്ങൾ എത്തുന്നതിനു മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പാണ് പഹോവ ഗ്രാമത്തിലുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് ലാവ പ്രവാഹത്തിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപെടാൻ മാറി താമസിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നത്. അവിടെ ലാവ ഒഴുകി കടലിൽ വീഴുന്നത് ഒരു കാഴ്ചയാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ കടലിൽ വീഴുന്ന ലാവ ഉറച്ചാണ് പുതിയ ഭൂപ്രദേശം ഹവായിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത്. ...
