Annual Visakha Utsav to be held from December 26 to 28

Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has announced the tentative dates for conducting the annual Visakha Utsav. The festival will most likely to be held from December 26 to 28. Final dates will be announced in a few days. This year, the utsav will focus on harnessing local talent and involving local people, and a budget of around Rs 1 crore will be sanctioned for the same. Indian Railways to have a new zone – South Coast Railway

  On the formation of Telengana state, Indian Railways was required to examine establishing a new railway zone in the successor State of Andhra Pradesh. The matter has been examined in detail in consultation with stake holders and it has been decided to go ahead with creation of a new zone with headquarter at Visakhapatnam.
