Vietnam’s low-cost airline VietJet Air, popularly known as as ‘Bikini airline’ for having cabin crew dressed in ‘Bikini’ in some of its flight, is going to start two direct flights to India by the year end. The flights will be launched from Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and capital Hanoi to New Delhi. The airline has also announced special promotional fares for both the routes. For the first time, India and Vietnam would be linked through direct flights by Vietjet by the third quarter of 2018. The announcement was made during the Vietnam – India Business Forum held recently. Vietjet will begin four-times-weekly services between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi on April 5. Travellers from India will be able to fly directly to Vietnam and vice versa, which is going to give a big boost to tourism activities between the two countries.
