The application of 5G would provide a better tourism experience at the site. The archaeological ruins of Liangzhu City (about 3300-2300 BC) is located in Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province, with an urban area of 3 square kilometres and a heritage area of 14.34 sq.km. 25% increase in foreign tourists in Chandigarh since UNESCO heritage tag

Chandigarh has recorded a 25 per cent increase in foreign tourists since it got UNESCO world heritage status for its Capitol Complex buildings in 2016, according to the statistics. While 31,549 foreigners visited Chandigarh in 2016, the figure increased to 39,681 in 2018. Similarly, the domestic visitors, which were 11.8 lakh in 2016, increased to 15.4 lakh two years later, said a report by Hindustan Times. Pink City gets UNESCO World Heritage tag; city can get $100,000 for conservation

Jaipur, the pink city, has finally become a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is India’s first planned city founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727, and is only the second Indian city to feature on the prestigious list. “In case of need, any World Heritage site can utilise World Heritage Funds for purpose of conservation, training to build capacity for management of WH site. Italy has launched a new digital platform named ‘Trame d’Italia’ as a move to promote lesser-known destinations in the country. The digital platform which was officially unveiled at a conference conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will gift the travellers an enticing experience of the regions which are rich in culture, history and culinary traditions, yet undiscovered and unexplored. LATAM to start non-stop flights connecting Santiago and Cusco

Cusco Three weekly non-stop flights have been announced by LATAM Airlines Peru which will connect Santiago, Chile and Cusco, Peru. Airbus A319 aircraft will be operating the route which will have a capacity to fly 144 passengers, with a total of 45,051 seats offered in a year. The service beginning on August 15th will have services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The tickets are already on sale.
