IndiGo has announced six new routes, out of which four will be serving Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) RCS scheme, starting June 22, 2019. The UDAN routes include Kolkata-Allahabad, Allahabad-Kolkata, Raipur-Allahabad, Allahabad-Raipur. On the other hand, the airline launched new flights between Kolkata, Allahabad, Raipur and Jabalpur, while developing regional hubs at Allahabad and Kolkata. SpiceJet has launched eight new daily direct flights to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh under UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. Gwalior will be SpiceJet’s 11th destination under the regional connectivity scheme. In addition to the eight new flights to Gwalior, SpiceJet has also announced four new daily flights connecting Bhopal including the Bhopal-Udaipur UDAN flight. Gwalior will be SpiceJet’s 52nd domestic destination. The construction of the proposed Jewar International Airport in Greater Noida is expected to begin in 2019. The Uttar Pradesh government had set up a joint venture company tp acquire 1441 hectre of land for the project at a cost of Rs 4000 crore. The project has got a no objection certificate from the home and defence ministries. The project has also received an in-principle clearance for immigration services. Air Deccan has launched Mumbai – Kolhapur flights, which is scheduled to formally begin services from April 22 under the regional connectivity scheme Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN). Air Deccan officials said that they have already started operations and have opened flight bookings offering a promotional fare of Rs 1299 for the 90-minute flight. The airline has also resumed operations to Nashik and Jalgaon which had briefly stopped following maintenance issues with its Beechcraft 1900 D aircrafts. Air Odisha is introducing two more destinations in Gujarat at lowest fares starting from Rs 1420 and Rs 1699 between Ahmedabad to Bhavanagar and Bhavnagar to Surat respectively. The fights will be operation from April 16.
