Decision to lease TVM airport to Adani, a big scam: Kadakampally Surendran
Kerala’s Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran has termed the Central Government decision to lease out the Thiruvananthapuram Airport to Adani Enterprises as a “big scam”. “This is daylight robbery. Despite our requests, the airport has been leased to the Adani group, which is a large conglomerate,” the minister said. Adani has won the rights to operate the airport for 50 years. The Kerala government has been opposing privatisation of the Thiruvananthapuram airport for a long time. The state had even expressed willingness to create a separate company to run the airport. Privatization of airport will enhance tourism: TVM Chamber of Commerce President
Privatization of the Thiruvanathapuram airport is widely welcomed by the stakeholders. It is said that privatization will improve the infrastructure facilities and quality of service. SN Raghuchandran Nair, President of Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Airport Users Consultative Committee, said that the move will be beneficial to the tourism industry in long run. “We consider it as a positive move for the airport, which has been losing its galore in recent years. മുംബൈ, ഡല്‍ഹി, ബംഗലൂരു വിമാനത്താവള വികസന മാതൃകയില്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരം, മംഗലാപുരം വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങള്‍ വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഇവയടക്കം രാജ്യത്തെ ആറു വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങള്‍ പാട്ടത്തിനു നല്‍കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിസഭായോഗം തീരുമാനിച്ചു. നടത്തിപ്പ്,വികസനം എന്നിവ പാട്ടമെടുക്കുന്ന കമ്പനി ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണ്. അഹമ്മദാബാദ്, ജയ്പൂര്‍,ലക്നോ,ഗുവാഹത്തി എന്നിവയാണ് മറ്റു വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങള്‍. വന്‍ വിദേശ നിക്ഷേപം ഈ തീരുമാനത്തിലൂടെ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതായി കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രി രവിശങ്കര്‍ പ്രസാദ് പറഞ്ഞു. തീരുമാനം നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ എയര്‍പോര്‍ട്ട് അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വരുമാനം കൂടുമെന്നും തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം വിമാനത്താവള വികസനം കേരളത്തിലെ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയ്ക്കു പ്രയോജനം ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് ടൂറിസം ട്രേഡ് ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷന്‍സ് ഇന്ത്യ(അറ്റോയ്) പ്രതികരിച്ചു. തുടര്‍ നടപടികള്‍ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വേഗത്തിലാക്കുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷയെന്ന് അറ്റോയ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് സി എസ് വിനോദും സെക്രട്ടറി പി വി മനുവും ടൂറിസം ന്യൂസ് ലൈവിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
Additional flights to operate from Thiruvananthapuram
Since Kerala’s busiest airport, the Kochi International Airport, remain closed due to the floods, additional services will be operated from Thiruvananthapuram Airport. As per the authorities, 36 international and 12 domestic services will be operated today. Additional flights are mostly to the Middle East region. Meanwhile, 70 seater small aircrafts have started operating from Kochi naval base since yesterday. Currently, AllianceAir is flying to Bengaluru and Coimbatore from Kochi. Indigo is also planning to begin operations from Kochi soon. Resuming of services from the Kochi International Airport is still uncertain. Kerala Floods: Vistara launches flights to Trivandrum from Delhi, Chennai
Vistara became the first airline to launch new flights to Trivandrum to evacuate passengers stuck in Kerala due to floods caused by unprecedented rains. “We are operating special flights to TRV (Trivandrum) in view of COK (Kochi) airport closure for the next three days. Flights will operate from DEL and MAA (Chennai). We do not normally operate to TRV, and have made special arrangements,” Vistara’s chief strategy and commercial officer tweeted today. ഇന്ന് തലസ്ഥാനത്തുകൂടി പറക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ വിമാനങ്ങളുടെയും നിയന്ത്രണം വനിതകള്‍ക്കായിരിക്കും. അന്താരാഷ്‌ട്ര വനിതാദിനം പ്രമാണിച്ചാണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തിന്‍റെ ആകാശപരിധിയിലെ എല്ലാ വിമാനങ്ങളുടെയും നിയന്ത്രണം വനിതാ എയര്‍ട്രാഫിക് കണ്‍ട്രോളര്‍മാര്‍ക്ക് കൈമാറിയത്. നിത്യേനെ ഇരുനൂറില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ആകാശ പരിധിയിലൂടെ പറക്കുന്നത്. അഗത്തി മുതല്‍ ട്രിച്ചി വരേയും കോഴിക്കോട് മുതല്‍ ശ്രീലങ്ക വരേയുമുള്ള ആകാശപരിധി ഈ വനിതകളുടെ നിയന്ത്രനത്തിലാകും. 500 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ പരിധിയിലും 46000 അടി ഉയരത്തിലും പറക്കുന്ന വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ തിരുവന്തപുരത്താണ് നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങാത്ത വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഇവിടുന്നു നിര്‍ദേശം കൊടുക്കും. വിമാനങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടിയിടി ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ കൃത്യമായ ആസൂത്രണം, വേഗത്തില്‍ തീരുമാനമെടുക്കല്‍, ആകാശ പരിധിയിലെ ട്രാഫിക്കണ്‍ട്രോളുമായി വിമാനത്തെ എകോപിപ്പിക്കള്‍, വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പറക്കാനുള്ള ഉയരം നിശ്ചയിക്കല്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ദൗത്യമാണ് വനിതാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ ഇന്നു ചെയ്യുക. ഇതുമൂലം സ്ത്രീശക്തി വിളംബരം ചെയ്യുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് അതോറിട്ടി അറിയിച്ചു.
