Women feel less safe about traveling than they did five years ago: Study
A recent women’s travel safety survey revealed that 45 per cent of female travelers feel less safe or much less safe about traveling than they did five years ago. Results of the travel trends survey, commissioned by AIG Travel, a worldwide leader in travel insurance and assistance services, also show that safety is top of mind for women while they are evaluating potential destinations as well as during their travels. This 63-year-old Pakistani plans Dubai-Moscow road trip

He is planning a three-month road trip from Dubai to Moscow this summer. Bhatti has already encircled the globe many times travelling to more than 50 countries and 200 cities in six years. Bhatti has been cross-country driving since 2012 and has already driven through USA, Canada and parts of Europe and Asia. “The best part about all of these trips is getting to know different people, cultures, religions and better understand the world,” said Bhatti. ... Trump signs Taiwan Travel Act, drawing China’s ire
US President Donald Trump’s new legislation that encourages US officials to travel to Taiwan to meet their counterparts and vice versa, has angered China. Trump signed the Taiwan Travel Act late Friday. Taiwan’s foreign ministry said Saturday that the self-ruled island’s government would “continue to uphold the principles of mutual trust and mutual benefit to maintain close contact and communication with US.” US and Taiwan officials travel back and forth between the two countries.
