Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has conducted India Luxury Virtual Connect (ILVC), India’s first ever virtual roadshow designed exclusively for leading travel partners across key metro cities to touch base with the Thai private sector. The first ever India Luxury Virtual Connect (ILVC) conducted on July 15 -16, witnessed participation from 28 Thai luxury sellers along with 130 travel agents across south-west India and another 130 agents from the north-east. The Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi (TAT), in collaboration with Go Air, hosted 10 travel agents from Tier II and Tier II cities on a Trade FAM trip from 26th – 29th August 2019. The focus was on a specific customer segment- Phuket as a family destination. TAT launches ‘Give Me 5’ off-peak season shopping campaign
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a new shopping campaign, ‘Give Me 5’, to entice an additional 200,000 visitors from India and six ASEAN countries during the off-peak season of July-September. The campaign will target families, women and incentive groups from 19 cities in India, Indonesia, Lao PDR., Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia and Cambodia, which are served by TAT’s campaign partner airlines, Thai Airways International and Thai Smile Airways. TAT New Delhi concludes ‘Amazing Thailand Roadshow to India’ in 2 cities
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi recently concluded the “Amazing Thailand Road Show to India” in New Delhi and Amritsar. Thirty five of the top representatives of hotels, resorts, attractions, DMCs and airlines from Thailand participated in the roadshow to showcase and promote their products to the travel trade in both cities. Tourism Authority of Thailand reveals 2019 Songkran increases in tourist revenue
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has revealed that tourism revenue earned from international visitor arrivals to Thailand and domestic trips during the 2019 Songkran holiday all showed year-on-year increases over the same period in 2018. TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn said that during the holiday period of 12-16 April, 2019, total revenue from the international arrivals and domestic trips amounted to 22.07 billion Baht, an increase of 15 percent year-on-year. TAT updates travel advisory on the air quality concerns in Bangkok
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is providing a further update today based on daily reports by the Thai Meteorological Department and the Pollution Control Department that south-easterly winds as well as measures by all concerned public and private sectors have had an effect in combating the dust pollution that has covered Bangkok and its surrounding provinces in recent weeks. Thailand extends visa-on-arrival fee waiver until April 30
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced extension of the visa-on-arrival fee waiver for citizens of 20 countries until 30 April 2019. The decision was announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 11 January, reasoning it as a measure to stimulate and promote tourism as well as to enhance the kingdom’s attractiveness among foreign visitors during the high travel season. “The extension of the stimulus visa-on-arrival measure came at a perfect time as Thailand is set to celebrate Chinese New Year in February and the Thai New Year (Songkran) in April,” said Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism ... TAT invites visitors to observe longest fireworks display ever staged
The Tourism Authority of Thailand will organise the longest fireworks display ever staged along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River as part of celebrations to mark the arrival of the New Year at midnight on 31st December 2018. Called the “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2019”, the spectacular display will last a full five minutes and is expected to be witnessed by more than a million people in the proximity of the river and beyond. TAT welcomes visa-on-arrival fee waiver for 20 countries including India
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said it is delighted to welcome the government’s decision to grant a visa-on-arrival fee waiver for tourists from 20 countries. From 15 November, 2018, to 13 January, 2018, citizens of Andora, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China including Taiwan, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will be exempted from the 2,000 Baht visa-on-arrival fee for the purpose of touring in Thailand not more than 15 days. “This is good news for Thailand’s tourism industry as we’re preparing a range of year-end activities ... Thailand forecasts 40 mn tourists next year
Thailand Tourism is all set to expand through next year, with at least 10 per cent growth in the revenue from this year, fetching some 3.4 trillion baht. “Strong growth is anticipated from both the international and domestic markets. Next year, the international market should generate income of B2.28 trillion, while the domestic market should contribute B1.12 trillion,” said Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn. Thailand Travel Mart 2018 to be conducted in Pattaya yacht club

Thailand to host Asia music festival in Koh Samui Island
With an aim to attract more tourists, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is all set to host a two-day Asia music festival on August 18 in southern Thai island of Koh Samui.
