Sariska in Rajasthan is calling nature lovers
Sariska National Park, one of the major Indian parks famous for its Tigers, is in the Alwar district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Located around 107 kilometers away from Jaipur, spread of an area of 800 sq. kilometres, the park is divided into sections of deciduous forests, grasslands, rocky landscapes and steep cliffs. The sanctuary is also home to a variety of wildlife species such as Indian tigers, leopards, sambar deer, hyenas, crocodiles, woodpeckers, boars, peafowls and a number of other avian species and marsh animals. Ban on night stay at Corbett Tiger Reserve affects tourism
Tourists visit in the Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) has declined to more than half after the high court order banning night stay at the forest rest houses and restricted movement of vehicles in the reserve area. Manas National Park in Assam opened for tourists
Renowned tourism destination and World Heritage Site of Assam, Manas National Park, was opened for tourists on Wednesday, 10th October 2018. The national park was inaugurated by Kampa Borgoyari , Deputy Chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). A huge gathering was present on the occasion. Mudumalai Tiger Reserve buffer zone to be opened for tourists
The Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) in Nilgiri District, Tamil Nadu is going to open its buffer zone for tourists. As per the Forest Department, the procedures are in final stage. Once the buffer zone is opened for tourists, the authorities expect to generate around 200 job opportunities in the reserve. The department is planning to formulate Eco-Development Committees (EDCs) in the region, in order to elicit active co-operation from the people residing on the peripheries of the reserve and to ensure their mutual commitment in conservation works. Boating resumes at Thekkady after rains
Kerala’s popular tourist destination, Thekkady, famous for the Tiger Reserve and wild life sanctuary, which has been closed following the rains, is returning to its normal days. The ban on tourism and operation of heavy vehicles, following rain and floods, has revoked last day by the District Collector. Ranthambore, Sariska will remain partially closed this monsoon
Considering the breeding season for wild animals, especially the tigers, Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajastan will be partially closed this monsoon, i.e., from July 1 to September 30. However, Ranthambore safari in zone 6 to 10 will be opened for tourists same as in the past years. Similarly, Alwar’s buffer zone will also be open during this period.
