Former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao’s native village to be turned into tourism spot
Telangana is planning to construct a memorial tourism site at former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao’s village exhibiting his life and struggles. Rao’s native village is Vangara in Warangal. State tourism minister V Srinivas Goud visited Vangara and revealed the plan for the development of the village as a tourism spot. Eco-tourism parks to be developed across all towns, says Telangana Forest Minister
Telangana forest minister Indrakaran Reddy on Friday said that the state government was developing lung spaces in cities and towns by setting up urban forest parks and eco-tourism parks in available forest land. Speaking after inaugurating the urban forest parks – Anjaneya and Narasimha – at Raigiri near Yadagirigutta, the minister said the ecological balance of a place would depend on the extent of forest area and green cover. Telangana calls for special monsoon trips to its waterfalls
The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Limited has announced special packages to Bogatha, Kuntala and Pochera waterfall sites as part of its monsoon tourism campaign. All the three sites have some stunning waterfalls set in the green canopy and has become all the more beautiful after being blessed by abundance of rain in the region. The state tourism corporation has done a survey of facilities to ensure that visitors can have breakfast, lunch and dinner en route to the location and back. Tourism Conclave in Hyderabad from June 28th

Kaleshwaram added on Telangana state tourism circuit
As the Telangana state celebrates its 4th anniversary, the government’s prime lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram will be added to the tour circuit on June 2nd. The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) will have a day-long special tour from Hyderabad to Kaleshwaram. They will also be conducting a paragliding event from Jun 3rd-5th at Bison Polo Grounds, Secunderabad, first of its kind in the state. Hyderabad records 76% foreign tourist arrivals in 2017
Hyderabad has registered a 76 per cent rise in foreign tourist arrivals (FTAs) in 2017 owing to the rise in the number of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the city. The city’s domestic tourist arrivals (DTAs) shot up by 16 per cent last year. According to Telangana tourism department, 2017 ended on a high note with as many as 2.47 lakh foreign tourists visiting mana sheher, against 1.63 lakh who travelled to Hyderabad in 2016.
