രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ നിന്ന് തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലേക്ക് കാനനപാത വരുന്നു
സാഹസിക സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കായി രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലേക്ക് കാനനപാത തുറക്കാന്‍ തമിഴ്‌നാട് വനംവകുപ്പ്. കൂടുതല്‍ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളെ തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലേക്ക് ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് പുതിയ പാത നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്നത്. രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു തമിഴ്‌നാട് അടിവാരത്തേക്കാണു വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കായുള്ള കാനനപാത. രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു പഴയകാലത്ത് സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്ന വനപാത, തേവാരം -ആനക്കല്ല് അന്തര്‍സംസ്ഥാന റോഡ് നിര്‍മാണത്തിനു ശേഷമാണു തമിഴ്‌നാട് തുറക്കുക. കാനനപാത തുറക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്നോടിയായി ഒരു വര്‍ഷം മുമ്പ് തന്നെ വിശദമായ സര്‍വേ വനം വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരം വികസനം ലക്ഷ്യം വെയ്ക്കുന്ന തമിഴ്‌നാട് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്ന പാത രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ നിന്ന് ആരംഭിച്ച് ഏകദേശം മൂന്ന് കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ചെങ്കുത്തായ ഇറക്കം ഇറങ്ങി തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ അടിവാരത്ത് എത്തുന്നതാണ് പാത. ഇവിടെ നിന്നു സമീപ പട്ടണമായ കോമ്പയിലേക്ക് വേഗത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേരാനാവും. അതിര്‍ത്തി മേഖലയിലെ പ്രധാന വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രമാണ് രാമക്കല്‍മേട്.തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് കമ്പംമേട് വഴി കിലോമീറ്ററുകള്‍ സഞ്ചരിച്ച് വേണം തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു രാമക്കല്‍മേട്ടില്‍ എത്താന്‍. ഇക്കാരണത്താല്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ ... Tourism min proposes talks with TN, Karnataka to discuss ‘seamless travel’
Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran urges Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to initiate talks with the Chief Ministers and Transport Ministers of neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to discuss about tourism possibilities. The Tourism minister was talking exclusively to Tourism News Live at a roadshow organized by Kerala Tourism in Italy. Tourism department plans one-day trip for students
Picture for representational purpose only With an aim to familiarise popular destinations in Madurai, the Tourism Department of the state is all set to take financially poor students for a one-day trip around favourite spots in Madurai for free. The department will select eligible students from various schools before taking them for the trip. As many as 150 select students will travel on three buses on the tour day. Ferry services to connect Kerala and TN
Web Desk With an aim to boost coastal tourism, the Ministry of Shipping has floated expression of interest for operating passenger ferry services connecting coastal cities such as Thoothukudi, Rameswaram and Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
