Kerala has great potential for Sports Tourism
Vinod CS, President of ATTOI, delivering the welcome speach Association of Tourism Trade Organizers, India (ATTOI) has organized a seminar on Sports Tourism Potential of Kerala at 10.30 am on 1st December 2018, at Kanakakunnu Palace Auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram. The seminar was conducted on the occasion of the 4th Trivandurm Marathon, which is taking place on December 1, 2018. Andhra Pradesh envisages community based tourism projects
Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) is planning to enhance community based tourism in the capital city, Amaravati. Under this project the residents of a region invite tourists to visit their communities and provide them with overnight accommodation. APCRDA also plans to have feasible tourism projects in the region; in public sector and also private-public partnership (PPP). “The master plan will be drafted with the aim to promote community-based tourism. It will, however, focus equally on conservation of natural resources and their optimum utilization. It will also prepare guidelines to fill the gap in public infrastructure,” said an official. ... Odisha plans roadshows to promote sports tourism
Odisha government is planning to conduct road-shows to promote sports tourism in the state, in view of the forthcoming Hockey Men’s Cup to be taken place at Kalinga Stadium from 28th November to 16th December. The campaigns may start from 27th September, in 17 cities including four metro cities. The organizers claim that this is the first time India, such a campaign is taking place to promote sports tourism and the objective is to showcase Odisha as a sports hub and a tourist destination.
