SpiceJet announces 10 new domestic flights
SpiceJet has announced the launch of 10 new flights on domestic routes using its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on these routes, which will strengthen its network across South India with new flights and additional frequencies. The airline is all set to introduce daily direct flights on the Chennai-Mangaluru-Chennai sector from 16 June, 2018. Domestic air traffic grows 26% in April
The domestic air traffic grew at a robust rate of 26 per cent in April with various airlines together carrying 11.5 million passengers, up from 9.1 million in the same month last year, as per government data. SpiceJet holds the top position once again in terms of seat utilisation per aircraft with 95.5 per cent seats being booked. It was followed by IndiGo (91.9 per cent), GoAir (89.5 per cent), Vistara (88.8 per cent), AirAsia (87.5 per cent), Jet Airways (85.6 per cent) and Air India (84 per cent). SpiceJet launches direct flight between Delhi and Adampur
SpiceJet has launched daily direct services between Delhi and Punjab’s Adampur. The first direct flight was flagged off from Delhi airport’s Terminal 2 to Adampur by Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, and Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet. SpiceJet was awarded Adampur under the first round of the regional connectivity scheme UDAN and the city is the fifth destination for the airline under this scheme. SpiceJet to operate Delhi-Adampur direct flight from May
SpiceJet has announced it will launch daily direct flight between Delhi and Adampur (Jalandhar) from May, its sixth destination under the UDAN scheme. The airline was awarded Adampur under under the first round of UDAN. “With the introduction of the daily direct flight services on the Delhi-Adampur-Delhi route, SpiceJet earmarks its sixth destination under the Regional Connectivity Scheme. ഹൈദരബാദ് -ബംഗ്ലൂരു സ്പൈസ് ജെറ്റ് വിമാനം റണ്‍വേയില്‍ നിന്ന് തെന്നിമാറിയതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ വഴിതിരിച്ച് വിടുന്നു.അപകടത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് റണ്‍വെ താല്‍കാലികമായി അടച്ചു. സ്പൈസ് ജെറ്റിന്റെ എസ്.ജി 1238 വിമാനമാണ് ഇന്ന് പുലര്‍ച്ചെ ബംഗളൂരു വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ തെന്നിമാറിയത്. ഇതേ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് വഴിതിരിച്ച് വിട്ടത്. ബംഗ്ലൂരുവില്‍ ഇറങ്ങേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന 10 വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ ചെന്നെയിലേക്കും, രണ്ടെണ്ണം ത്രിച്ചിയിലേക്കും കോയമ്പത്തുരിലേക്കും ആണ് തിരിച്ച് വിട്ടത്.
SpiceJet inks $12.5 billion deal with Safran
SpiceJet has entered into a $ 12.5 billion contract with Safran for LEAP-1B engines to power its fleet of 155 Boeing 737 Max planes. The agreement, which covers ten-year rate per flight hour agreement and spare engines, was signed yesterday on the sidelines of French president Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India. The LEAP-1B engines are manufactured by CFM International, a part of Safran group of France and are the sole engine variant for the 737 Max planes.
