Emirates to resume service from Dubai to Seychelles starting August 1
Emirates has announced that it will resume passenger services to Seychelles from August 1, coinciding with the country’s re-opening to international tourists. Operating flights to Seychelles five times a week with a Boeing 777-300ER, Emirates offers travellers convenient access to this popular Indian Ocean holiday destination. The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa. Seychelles strengthens trade relations in Pune, Bangalore & Chandigarh through workshops
Seychelles Tourism Board has successfully conducted workshops in Pune on 21st February, in Bangalore on 19th March and in Chandigarh on 9th May to train potential travel trade partners and equip them with detailed information about various offerings in Seychelles. The workshops enabled Seychelles Tourism Board to meet many potential travel agents in the three cities and lay the groundwork for future sales visits with potential operators. India becomes major source market for Seychelles
Seychelles has welcomed over 13,500 visitors from India in 2017 making it the seventh largest source market for the destination. In the first half of 2018, over 8,000 Indians travelled to Seychelles showcasing a steady rise of 13.3 per cent from January to July 2018 vis-a-vis the same time period in 2017. Didier Dogley takes charge as Seychelles Minister for Tourism
Didier Dogley takes charge as the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Seychelles. Formerly, the minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, he was assigned the new portfolio in a Cabinet reshuffle announced by President Danny Faure. Dogley has already moved into his new office at Botanical House. Didier Dogley was first appointed Minister in February 2015, and assigned the Environment, Energy and Climate Change portfolio.
