Saudi Arabia sticks to tourism target despite pandemic
Saudi Arabia is sticking by its target of attracting 100 million visits by 2030 despite the devastating impact of the coronavirus pandemic on its fledgling tourism sector, Arab News has reported. Tourist visa rules completed in Saudi
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) has announced that the regulations for tourist visas have been completed and submitted to the higher authorities for approval, said a SCTNH statement quoted by the Center of International Communication (CIC). The regulations were reviewed in a series of meetings and workshops with relevant government institutions. Beyond the governmental review, investors, tourism and transport workers, and groups of beneficiaries and service providers were also given a chance to comment. വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളെ ക്ഷണിച്ച് സൗദി. അടുത്ത മാസം മുതല്‍ രാജ്യം സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുന്നതിനു ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് വിസ നല്‍കിത്തുടങ്ങും. സൗദി ടൂറിസം നാഷണല്‍ ഹെറിറ്റേജ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് സുല്‍ത്താന്‍ ബിന്‍ സല്‍മാന്‍ ബിന്‍ അബ്ദുള്‍ അസീസ് രാജകുമാരനാണ് ഇതിനു നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയത്. ഇതിനു വേണ്ടി നേരെത്ത തന്നെ ഉത്തരവിറക്കിയിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ അടുത്ത മാസം മുതല്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന കാര്യം ഇപ്പോഴാണ് സൗദി അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് വിസ സിംഗിള്‍ എന്‍ട്രി വിസയായിരിക്കും. 30 ദിവസമായിരിക്കും വിസയുടെ കാലാവധി. രാജ്യത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക രംഗത്ത് തീരുമാനം നേട്ടമായി മാറുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. വര്‍ഷം തോറും 30മില്യണ്‍ ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് വിസകള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതിനാണ് സൗദിയുടെ തീരുമാനം. നിലവില്‍ ഹജ്ജ് തീര്‍ഥാടകര്‍ക്കുള്ള വിസ, ഫാമിലി വിസ, ജോബ് വിസ എന്നിവ മാത്രമാണ് സൗദി നല്‍കി വരുന്നത്.
India is ‘guest of honour’ at Saudi Arabia’s Janadriyah festival

Solo Women Travellers above 25 can now travel to Saudi
