The Andhra Pradesh government yesterday decided to resume tourism in the state. The announcement to reopen all the prime tourist attractions was made by the state Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivas Rao on Wednesday. He expressed that as the numbers of positive cases have dropped in the country, the tourist spots can now reopen from Thursday. The Minister also said that they will plan a roadshow across the country to popularise the state’s tourist attractions. With an aim to give a much-anticipated fillip to the adventure tourism sector in Vizag, the Andhra Pradesh tourism authorities have decided to introduce parasailing at the Rushikonda beach. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is all set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard with a private operator. The facility will be made available to the public only after the signing of the MoU. The APTDC is also planning to introduce a new boat service at the Rishikonda beach.
