Growing spread of covid; Tourist centers in Ooty closed
Tourist attractions in the Nilgiris district, including the Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, and Boat House, were closed. The Tamil Nadu government had yesterday banned tourists from traveling to the Nilgiris, Kodaikanal, and Yercaud in view of the growing spread of covid. The Ooty Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, and Boat House, which are run by the Department of Tourism, were closed on Tuesday. The lake regularly hosts various competitions during the flower festival. Saputara Monsoon Festival kick started in Gujrat
Renowned Saputara Mnsoon Festival has begun in Gujarat on 4th August 2018, as part of the tourism development programmes of Gujrat Tourism. The festival aims at attracting more tourists to the state during monsoon season. Saputara will adorn like bride during the festival days. There will be cultural programs every day, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Other attractions of the festival are rain dance, cartoon characters to keep kids entertained, lake lighting and fountain at Saputara Lake. ഊട്ടിയില്‍ വസന്തോല്‍സവം: പനിനീര്‍ പുഷ്പമേള ഇന്നു മുതല്‍
ഊട്ടിയില്‍ വസന്തോത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ പനിനീര്‍ പുഷ്പമേള ഇന്നാരംഭിക്കും . റോസ്ഗാര്‍ഡനില്‍ റോസാപൂക്കള്‍കൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യാ ഗേറ്റിന്റെ മാതൃക, ജല്ലിക്കെട്ട് കാള തുടങ്ങി വിവിധ രൂപങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഉദ്യാനകവാടത്തില്‍ വിവിധ വര്‍ണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പൂക്കള്‍ കൊണ്ടുള്ള അലങ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ മനോഹരമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. 12 ഏക്കര്‍ വിസ്തൃതിയിലുള്ള പൂന്തോട്ടത്തില്‍ പനിനീര്‍പ്പൂക്കള്‍ മാത്രമാണ്. പൂക്കള്‍ എല്ലാം വിരിഞ്ഞുകഴിഞ്ഞു. പച്ച, മഞ്ഞ, നീല, കറുപ്പ് ,വയലറ്റ് തുടങ്ങിയ അപൂര്‍വയിനം പനിനീര്‍ച്ചെടികള്‍ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. വേള്‍ഡ് ഫെഡറേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് റോസ് സൊസൈറ്റിയുടെ ഗാര്‍ഡന്‍ ഓഫ് എക്‌സലെന്‍സി പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ച ഉദ്യാനമാണിത്. നാലായിരത്തോളം ഇനത്തില്‍ 38,000 പനിനീര്‍ച്ചെടികളാണ് ഇവിടെയുള്ളത് . അപൂര്‍വമായ പല നാടന്‍ റോസ് ചെടികളും ഉദ്യാനത്തിന്റെ ശേഖരത്തിലുണ്ട്. മേള 13ന് സമാപിക്കും ഊട്ടി പുഷ്പമേള 18ന് ആരംഭിച്ച് 23ന് സമാപിക്കും.
