Qatar Tourism intensifies its effort to tap Indian market
With an aim to educate the travel trade on Qatar’s tourism offerings, Qatar Tourism Authority has recently conducted their first ever workshop at St Regis in Mumbai. Around 14 companies including DMCs and hotels participated in the half-day event. “India has emerged as a very strong market for us. Targeting Indian tourists, Qatar opens office in Mumbai
Targeting Indian tourists, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has opened a representative office in Mumbai. More than 110,000 Indian travellers visited Qatar in the first quarter of 2018. Qatar Tourism Authority trains desert safari guides and drivers
Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA) Tour Guide Training and Licensing programme has now been extended to include desert safari guides in Qatar. The programme, which will begin on April 15, 2018, will involve training all drivers of 4×4 tourism vehicles. The training will be provided by Doha Off-road Training Centre and will see guides hone their skills across all aspects of off-road driving including safety, navigation, convoy driving and emergency handling.
