മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ പുണെയില്‍ പൊതുസ്ഥലത്ത് തുപ്പരുതേ. തുപ്പിയാല്‍ പിഴയും തടവും ശിക്ഷയായി ലഭിച്ചേക്കും. റോഡ്‌,പാര്‍ക്കുകള്‍,പൊതു കെട്ടിടങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് തുപ്പല്‍ നിരോധിച്ചത്. ആളുകളെ നിരീക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ പ്രത്യേക സ്ക്വാഡിനെ നഗരസഭ നിയോഗിച്ചു . തുപ്പുന്നവരെക്കൊണ്ട് അപ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ അത് തുടപ്പിക്കുകയും നൂറു രൂപ പിഴ ചുമത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. ജനങ്ങളെ ശുചിത്വ ബോധമുള്ളവരാക്കുകയാണ് ഇതിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നതെന്ന് പുണെ മുനിസിപ്പല്‍ കമ്മീഷണര്‍ സൌരഭ് റാവു പറഞ്ഞു. ഒരാളുടെ മാലിന്യം മറ്റൊരാള്‍ വൃത്തിയാക്കിക്കോളും എന്ന ചിന്താഗതിയും ഇത്തരം നടപടികളിലൂടെ മാറ്റാനാകുമെന്ന പക്ഷക്കാരനാണ് നഗരസഭാ കമ്മീഷണര്‍. പുണെ നഗരസഭയുടെ നടപടികളോട് ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ സമ്മിശ്ര പ്രതികരണമാണെങ്കിലും  തെരുവില്‍ തുപ്പാന്‍ ആള്‍ക്കാര്‍ മടിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. പോയവര്‍ഷം രാജ്യത്തെ വൃത്തിയുള്ള നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ ആദ്യ സ്ഥാനമായിരുന്നു പുണെയ്ക്ക്

The Walhe village in Purandhar Tehsil, located 56 km away from Pune, will soon be added to the list of tourist destinations. ജനസംഖ്യയെ കടത്തിവെട്ടി പുണെ നഗരത്തില്‍ വാഹനപ്പെരുപ്പം. മലിനീകരണവും ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്കും മൂലം ജനം ദുരിതത്തില്‍. രാജ്യത്ത് മറ്റൊരു നഗരത്തിലുമുണ്ടാകാത്ത തരത്തിലാണ് പുണെയില്‍ വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ കുതിച്ചുയര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്. പുണെയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ ഏകദേശം 35 ലക്ഷമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇവിടെ 36.2 ലക്ഷം വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഇതിനകം റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തുകഴിഞ്ഞുവെന്നാണ് റീജനല്‍ ട്രാഫിക് ഓഫിസ് (എംഎച്ച് 12) വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. നാലുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങളുടെ റജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ 9.57% ആണ് 2017നെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഉയര്‍ന്നതെങ്കില്‍ ഇരുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങള്‍ 8.24% ഉയര്‍ന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ 33.37 ലക്ഷം വാഹനങ്ങളാണ് പുണെയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. അതാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ 36.27 ലക്ഷത്തില്‍ എത്തി നില്‍ക്കുന്നത്. ഈ വര്‍ഷം മാര്‍ച്ച് അവസാനത്തോടെ നഗരത്തില്‍ 2,80,000 വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ വര്‍ധനയാണുണ്ടായതെന്ന് ആര്‍ടിഒ തലവന്‍ ബാബ ആജ്‌റി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. ഇത്തവണയും ഇരുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങളാണ് ഏറ്റവുമുധികം റജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. സമ്പന്നര്‍ ഭാര്യയ്ക്കും മക്കള്‍ക്കും മരുമക്കള്‍ക്കും പിന്നെ അവസരത്തിനനുസരിച്ചും മുറ്റം നിറച്ച് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ വാങ്ങിനിറയ്ക്കുമ്പോള്‍, സാധാരണക്കാര്‍ വായ്പയെടുത്തും വാങ്ങും രണ്ടെണ്ണം. ഈ വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ പൊതുനിരത്തുകളില്‍ തിങ്ങിനിറഞ്ഞ് ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്കും അന്തരീക്ഷമലിനീകരണവും വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ... As many as 14 e toilets would be installed across 11 locations in Pune, for which the Municipal Corporation has sanctioned a sum of over Rs 1.99 cr to build the e toilets. The toilets will work as a vending machine in which users can drop coins to make use of the facility. The new project was launched by MP Anil Shirole. The online peer to peer cab service, Uber and Ola drivers from Mumbai have called off their strike after 3 days. The issue has been resolved after a team of leaders from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, met the company officials on Thursday. According to reports, Uber noted down the concerns of the drivers and promised a resolution. “We have heard their concerns and have taken note of the feedback,” said Uber spokesperson. As part of the Missing Link Project, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), is constructing one of the longest four-lane tunnels in the world, between Mumbai and Pune. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2021. The project, joining Kusgaon village and Chavani village in Pune, would be at a length of over 19.8 km.
