Tourism from SCO countries could easily be doubled: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said only six per cent of foreign tourists in India are from the SCO countries, which could easily be “doubled” as he underlined the need to boost tourism among members of the grouping. India bets big on Buddhist tourism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Government is taking initiatives to develop infrastructure for Buddhist tourism in an attempt to connect Southeast Asia to the important Buddhist sites in the country. “We are developing infrastructure for Buddhist tourism, which is going to connect Southeast Asia with the important Buddhist sites of India. Modi flags off all-electric Humsafar Express between Katihar & New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off new bi-weekly all electric Humsafar Express connecting Katihar to New Delhi. The PM has arrived in Bihar to address “Swachchh Bharat Mission” volunteers as part of the concluding celebration of Champaran Satyagraha centenary launched by the Bihar Government in April last year.
