ചെറുതും ചിലവു കുറഞ്ഞതുമായ യാത്രകള്‍ ആസ്വദിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഒന്നു പരീക്ഷിക്കാവുന്നതാണ് കോട്ടയത്തുനിന്നും ആലപ്പുഴയിലേക്കുള്ള ദീര്‍ഘദൂര ബോട്ടുയാത്ര. കോട്ടയം കോടിമതയില്‍ നിന്നും ജലഗതാഗതവകുപ്പിന്‍റെ ബോട്ടില്‍ ആലപ്പുഴ ബോട്ടുജട്ടിയിലേക്കുള്ള ജലയാത്രയ്ക്ക് ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് 18രൂപ മാത്രമാണ് ചിലവ്. കോട്ടയത്തിന്‍റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലൂടെ ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ നാട്ടിന്‍പുറങ്ങളെ അടുത്തറിഞ്ഞ് ഒച്ചപ്പാടുകളും ബഹളങ്ങളുമില്ലാതെ പ്രകൃതിയോടൊപ്പമുള്ള ഈ യാത്രാസൗകര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അധികമാര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ല. രാവിലെ 6.45 മുതല്‍ കോട്ടയം കോടിമതയില്‍നിന്നും ആലപ്പുഴയിലേക്ക് ബോട്ട് സര്‍വീസുണ്ട്. വിദേശികളും സ്വദേശികളുമായ സഞ്ചാരികളേയും കൊണ്ടാണ് കോട്ടയത്തുനിന്നും ബോട്ട് പുറപ്പെടുക. രാവിലെ 6.45, 11.30, ഉച്ചക്ക് 1, 3.30, വൈകീട്ട് 5.15 എന്നീ സമയത്താണ് ബോട്ടുകള്‍ കോട്ടയത്തുനിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുക. കോടിമത ബോട്ടുജട്ടിക്ക് സമീപമുള്ള പോലീസ് ക്യാന്‍റീനില്‍ നിന്ന് വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ ചിലവില്‍ നാടന്‍ ഊണു ലഭിക്കും. ബിരിയാണി അടക്കമുള്ള മറ്റ് ഭക്ഷണങ്ങളും ചെറിയ തുകയ്ക്ക് ലഭ്യമാണ്. രാവിലെ 11.30, ഉച്ചക്ക് ഒരു മണി എന്നീ സമയങ്ങളില്‍ പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ബോട്ടുകളാണ് പൊതുവെ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക. ഈ യാത്രയെ രണ്ടു രീതിയില്‍ സമീപിക്കാം. ആലപ്പുഴയിലേക്ക് ...
