Adventure seekers of Jharkhand and the neighbouring states are going to have fun and adventure filled trips in various parts of the state next month. The state tourism department is all set to conduct adventure tourism events in various districts of Jharkhand from January 11 to 20. Ranchi, Betla, Netarhat and Chandil Dam are the locations identified for the events,; where over 20 types of adventure activities will be organized. Uttarakhand has immense possibilities in yoga and adventure tourism activities, said Union Minister of State for tourism, K J Alphons. “Trekking, river rafting, water sports, paragliding, skiing and bungy jumping are some of the activities with immense potential,” he said while speaking on the sidelines of the Destination Uttarakhand Investors Summit-2018. The Uttarakhand high court has banned paragliding, white water rafting and other water sports until the government enact a policy to regulate them.  The move aimed at safeguarding both the environment and people engaging in these daring activities.

With an aim to start promoting religious tourism circuit in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister for Tourism KJ Alphons held discussions in New Delhi. The ministers discussed about a Rs 300 crore including a project for improving the infrastructure facilities of the state. Himachal Pradesh is famous for its various eco-tourism activities that support various tourism hotspots in the tourism map.
