Improved connectivity is required for tourism development: Kerala Governor
“Improved road and air connectivity is necessary for the state to connect with other states and thus attract more tourists,” says Kerala Governer P Sathasivam. He was inaugurating the Nishagandhi Monsoon Music Fest at the Nishagandhi Auditorium at Kanakkunnu, Thiruvananthapuram. He also recommended the state government to utilise the Centre’s ‘UDAN’ (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme aimed at improving rural airports and connectivity. നിശാഗന്ധി മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ സംഗീതോത്സവം 15ന് ആരംഭിക്കും
വിനോദസഞ്ചാര വകുപ്പ് പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു വരുന്ന നിശാഗന്ധി നൃത്തോത്സവത്തിന്റെ ചുവട് പിടിച്ച് മണ്‍സൂണ്‍കാല വിനോദസഞ്ചാര പ്രചാരണ പരിപാടികളുടെ ഭാഗമായി നിശാഗന്ധി മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ സംഗീതോത്സവത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ പതിപ്പിന് 15ന് കനകക്കുന്ന് നിശാഗന്ധി ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ തുടക്കം കുറിക്കും. ജൂലൈ 15ന് കനകക്കുന്ന് നിശാഗന്ധി ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ വൈകുന്നേരം 6.15ന് ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്റെ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതയില്‍ ചേരുന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ കേരള ഗവര്‍ണര്‍ പി സദാശിവം സംഗീതോത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം നിര്‍വഹിക്കും. ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സാംസ്‌ക്കാരികോത്സവങ്ങളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി മാത്രം പ്രതി വര്‍ഷം 15 ലക്ഷത്തോളം പേര്‍ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടാണ് കണക്ക്. വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് നടത്തുന്ന നിശാഗന്ധി നൃത്തോതസവത്തിന് തദ്ദേശീയരും വിദേശിയരുമായ നിരവധി ആസ്വാദകരാണ് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്. അതേ നിലവാരത്തിലവും സംഗീതോത്സവവും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തലത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ലക്ഷകണക്കിന് ആസ്വാദകരുള്ള ഭാരതീയ സംഗീത ശാഖകളിലെ പ്രശസ്തരായ സംഗീതജ്ഞരെ പങ്കെടുപ്പിച്ച് കൊണ്ടാവും നിശാഗന്ധി മണ്‍സൂണ്‍ സംഗീതോത്സവം നടത്തുന്നത്. വരും വര്‍ഷങ്ങളില്‍ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയ്ക്ക് ...
