Karnataka Tourism to set up a Miniature Park in Mysuru
The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has plans to set up a Miniature Park with an objective to attract more visitors to tourist spots in Mysuru. Chamundi hills to go eco-friendly
Chamundesswary Temple The union ministry has sanctioned development project worth Rs 100 crore in Chamundi Hills of Karnataka, under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive) scheme. The project will be implemented without affecting the surrounding ecosystem of the iconic Chamundesswary temple. The ministry has approved the project in principle and it is said to be the only temple from Karnataka to have developmental works as per the PRASAD scheme. ‘Akasha Ambari’ receives overwhelming response

S R Mahesh, Tourism Minister, has taken part in the maiden flight from Mysuru to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Kannur airport will be beneficial to Karnataka tourism
The Kannur International Airport in northern Kerala, which is scheduled to be opened in September 2018, is expected to be beneficial for the Karnataka tourism industry. Top tourism destinations of Karnataka, like Mysuru and Kodagu (Coorg) are likely to be benefited by the new airport as they are within easy reach from Kannur. The new airport is just 58 km from Virajpet, about 90 km from Madikeri and 158 km from Mysuru. മൈസൂരു മൃഗശാലയിലെ ഹോട്ടലുകളില്‍ ഭക്ഷണവില കുറയ്ക്കും
മൈസൂരു മൃഗശാലയ്ക്കുള്ളിലെ ഹോട്ടലുകളില്‍ ഭക്ഷണവില കുറയ്ക്കാന്‍ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നു ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി എസ്.ആര്‍. മഹേഷ്. വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളില്‍നിന്നു വ്യാപകമായി പരാതികള്‍ ലഭിച്ചതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് നടപടി. ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച് മൃഗശാല അധികൃതര്‍ക്കു നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു വരുന്ന സാധാരണക്കാരെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ പിഴിയുന്നതു ശരിയായ നടപടിയല്ല. മൃഗശാലയിലെ സുരക്ഷാ ക്രമീകരണങ്ങള്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ച മന്ത്രി സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കു കൂടുതല്‍ സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്കു നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കി.
‘Tent tourism’ coming up in Mysuru

Multiple development programmes for Mysuru tourism
Prominent tourist place of Mysore, the Brindavan Garden will be renovated, said the Sericulture and Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh. He was interacting with reporters during a programme organized by Mysuru District Journalists Association on Friday, 29th June 2018. He said the design and structure of the Brindavan Garden has been obsolete and there have not been any changes since its launch, except for the dancing fountain. Aggressive promotion plans for Mysuru’s tourism
The stakeholders in the Mysuru tourism industry have suggested measures to encourage tourists to stay longer in Mysuru in lieu making it a one-day thing. Evening cultural shows, shopping festivals, and late-hour food hub etc. could be introduced for extending the night life. Another key issue that was raised at a stakeholders’ meeting here on Tuesday was revival of Brindavan Gardens, which they said was in a jumbles, with nothing new to offer to the tourists.
വീണ്ടും നിരക്കിളവ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് മൈസൂരു-ബെംഗളൂരു ട്രെയിനുകള്‍
മൈസൂരു-ബെംഗളൂരു റൂട്ടില്‍ യാത്രക്കാരെ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കാന്‍ അഞ്ചു ദീര്‍ഘദൂര ട്രെയിനുകളിലെ തേഡ് എസി നിരക്കുകള്‍ വെട്ടിക്കുറച്ചു. ഈ റൂട്ടില്‍ അഞ്ചു ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ നേരത്തേതന്നെ നിരക്കിളവ് ലഭ്യമാണ്. മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു മൈസൂരുവിലേക്കുള്ള ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ ബെംഗളൂരു വിട്ടാല്‍ കാലിയായി ഓടുന്നത് പതിവായതോടെയാണ് ഈ ട്രെയിനുകളിലെ എസി കോച്ചുകളിലെ യാത്രയ്ക്ക് ഇളവ് ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്താന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. ബെംഗളൂരു വിട്ടാല്‍ ചെയര്‍കാര്‍ ആയി സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന ട്രെയിനില്‍ പകുതിനിരക്കില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാമെന്നതിനാല്‍ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ കൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു. മയിലാടുതുറൈ, കാവേരി, ഹംപി, തൂത്തുക്കുടി, ഗോള്‍ഗുമ്പാസ് എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍ രണ്ടുവര്‍ഷം മുന്‍പാണ് നിരക്കിളവ് ആദ്യമായി പരീക്ഷിച്ചത്. ഇതു വന്‍ വിജയമായതോടെയാണ് അഞ്ചു ട്രെയിനുകളില്‍കൂടി ഇളവ് ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയത്. യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കും റെയില്‍വേക്കും ഇത് ഒരുപോലെ നേട്ടമാകുന്നുണ്ടെന്നു റെയില്‍വേ അധികൃതര്‍ പറയുന്നു.
മൂന്ന് അധിക സ്‌റ്റോപ്പുകള്‍ കൂടി അനുവദിച്ച് കെ എസ് ആര്‍ ടി സി
ബെംഗളൂരുവില്‍ നിന്ന് മലബാര്‍ ഭാഗത്തേക്കുള്ള കേരള ആര്‍ ടി സി ബസുകള്‍ക്ക് മൂന്ന് സ്റ്റോപുകള്‍ കൂടി അനുവദിച്ചു. രാജരാജേശ്വരി നഗര്‍ മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ്, മൈസൂരു റോഡിലെ ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് കോളേജ്, ഐക്കണ്‍ കോളേജ് എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിലാണ് പുതിയ സ്റ്റോപുകള്‍. ബെംഗളൂരുവില്‍ നിന്ന് മൈസൂരു റോഡ് വഴി പോകുന്ന എല്ലാ സ്‌കാനിയ, സൂപ്പര്‍ഫാസ്റ്റ്, ഡീലക്‌സ്, എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് ബസുകളും ഇവിടെ നിര്‍ത്തുമെന്ന് കെ എസ് ആര്‍ ടി സി അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന മലയാളികളുടെയും വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെയും അഭ്യര്‍ഥന മാനിച്ചാണ് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് അനുവദിച്ചത്. ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍ക്കു കേരള ആര്‍ടിസി ബസ് പിടിക്കാന്‍ ഇതുവരെ സാറ്റ്ലൈറ്റ് ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡിലോ, കെങ്കേരിയിലോ എത്തേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു. രാവിലെ ഏഴുമുതല്‍ രാത്രി 11.55 വരെയായി നാല്‍പതിലേറെ കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി ബസുകളാണ് മൈസൂരു വഴി നാട്ടിലേക്കുള്ളത്.
മൈസൂരു- ആലപ്പുഴ സ്വപ്‌നയാത്രയ്ക്കായി പദ്ധതിയൊരുങ്ങുന്നു
കേരളം ഏറെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന റെയില്‍ പാതയാണ് നഞ്ചന്‍കോട്- വയനാട്-നിലമ്പൂര്‍ പാത. സ്വപ്‌ന പദ്ധതി നിലവില്‍ വന്നാല്‍ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ഏറെ തെക്കന്‍ കേരളത്തിനാണ്. ബെംഗ്ലൂരുവില്‍ നിന്ന് ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന യാത്ര തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ സേലം, കോയമ്പത്തൂര്‍ വഴി വളഞ്ഞാണ് നിലവില്‍ നടക്കുന്നത്. ഈ ദുര്‍ഘട യാത്രയ്ക്ക് പകരം ഏറെ ഗുണപ്രദമായ പാത തുറക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ വരുന്നത്. ഈ വിഷയത്തില്‍ സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ സജീവമായ ഇടപെടല്‍ വേണമെന്നാണ് ആവശ്യമുയരുന്നത്.പാതയുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ മന്ത്രി ജി. സുധാകരന്‍ ഏറെ താല്‍പര്യമെടുത്തത് ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വനത്തിലൂടെ തുരങ്കപാതയാണെങ്കില്‍ സര്‍വേയ്ക്ക് കര്‍ണാടക അനുകൂലമാണെന്നും അതിനായി അപേക്ഷിക്കാനുമുള്ള കര്‍ണാടക വനംവകുപ്പിന്റെ ആവശ്യത്തിന് കേരളം മറുപടി നല്‍കിയിട്ടില്ല. മാത്രമല്ല, ഈ പാതയ്ക്ക് കര്‍ണാടക എതിരാണെന്നാണ് മന്ത്രി നിയമസഭയില്‍ പറഞ്ഞത്. ആ നിലപാട് മന്ത്രി മാറ്റണമെന്നാണ് ആവശ്യം.ബെംഗളൂരുവിലും മൈസൂരുവിലുമായി ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മലയാളികളാണുള്ളത്. പലരും തെക്കന്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവരാണ്. മന്ത്രിയുടെ മണ്ഡലമായ ആലപ്പുഴയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഒട്ടേറെ കച്ചവടക്കാര്‍ മൈസൂരുവിലുണ്ട്. നിലവില്‍ അവര്‍ ആലപ്പുഴയെത്താന്‍ ബെംഗളൂരുവില്‍ ചെന്ന് ... രാത്രിയാത്ര നിരോധനം: ശക്തമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഇടപെടലുകള്‍ക്കൊരുങ്ങി ഫ്രീഡം ടു മൂവ്
ദേശീയപാത 766 ലെ രാത്രിയാത്ര നിരോധനം നീക്കുന്നതിന് ശക്തമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഇടപെടലുകള്‍ നടത്താന്‍ യുവജന കൂട്ടായ്മ ‘ഫ്രീഡം ടു മൂവ്’ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. വിവിധ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാര്‍ട്ടികളും, സംഘടനകളും ഫ്രീഡം ടു മൂവും കൂടി ചേര്‍ന്ന യോഗത്തിലാണ് തീരുമാനം. രാത്രിയാത്ര നിരോധനത്തില്‍ കേരളത്തിന്റെ അനുകൂല തീരുമാനത്തെ അറിയിക്കാന്‍ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ കര്‍ണ്ണാടക സര്‍ക്കാരുമായും, ബി ജെപിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരുമായി അടിയന്തര ചര്‍ച്ചകളും നടത്താനാണ് തീരുമാനം. നിരോധനം നിര്‍ത്തലാക്കണം എന്ന തീരുമാനം ജനപ്രധിനിധികളെ അറിയിച്ച് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ പൊതു ആവശ്യമെന്ന് നിലയില്‍ ഈ വിഷയത്തെ നിയമസഭയില്‍ ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി പ്രമേയം അവതരിപ്പിക്കുവാനാണ് തീരുമാനം. സുപ്രീം കോടതിയുടെ നിര്‍ദേശ പ്രകാരം രൂപവത്കരിച്ച ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥ സമിതി വയനാട്ടില്‍ സിറ്റിങ് നടത്തുന്നതിനായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വഴി ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തും. ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥ സമിതിയുടെ ചെയര്‍മാനും കേന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതലഗതാഗതവകുപ്പ് സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായ യുധിഷ്ഠര്‍ മല്ലിക്കിനെ സര്‍വകക്ഷിസംഘം നേരിട്ടുകണ്ട് നിവേദനംനല്‍കും. ഒപ്പം ഫ്രീഡം ടു മൂവ് ശേഖരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ലക്ഷം ഒപ്പുകളും കൈമാറും.

രാജ്യാന്തര തലത്തില്‍ ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നതിനായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച മൈസൂരു ട്രാവല്‍ മാര്‍ട്ട് 2018 കേന്ദ്ര ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി അല്‍ഫോണ്‍സ് കണ്ണന്താനം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. പ്രാദേശിക ടൂറിസം ഉല്‍പന്നങ്ങളുടെ പ്രദര്‍ശനം ലക്ഷ്യം വെക്കുന്ന പരിപാടി മൈസൂര്‍ ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പും, മൈസൂര്‍ ട്രാവല്‍ അസോസിയേഷനും (എം ടി എ), മൈസൂര്‍ ഹോട്ടല്‍ അസോസിയേഷനും കൂടി ചേര്‍ന്നാണ് നടത്തുന്നത്. മുന്‍ മന്ത്രി എസ് എ രാംദാസ്, കര്‍ണാടക പ്രദേശ് ഹോട്ടല്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് രാജേന്ദ്രന്‍, മൈസൂരു ഹോട്ടല്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് നാരായണ ഗൗഡ, വ്യവസായി ജഗന്നാഥ ഷേണായി എന്നിവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ചടങ്ങിലായിരുന്നു അല്‍ഫോണ്‍സ് കണ്ണന്താനം സംസാരിച്ചത്. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ടൂറിസം രംഗം ഇപ്പോള്‍ മികച്ച രീതിയിലാണ് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുന്നത്, ഇനിയും മികച്ച രീതിയിലേക്ക് ഈ രംഗം മുന്നോട്ട് പോകണമെങ്കില്‍ ടൂറിസം രംഗത്തെ തല്‍പരകക്ഷികളായ സംസ്ഥാന ഗവണ്‍മെന്റും, കേന്ദ്ര ഗവണ്‍മെന്റും, മറ്റു അനുബദ്ധ ഹോട്ടല്‍, റിസോര്‍ട്ട് ഉടമകള്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ ഒന്നിച്ച് നില്‍ക്കണം. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം 10 മില്യണ്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശകരാണ് ഇന്ത്യ ...
