പ്രളയത്തില്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട മൂന്നാര്‍ തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നു. ഹോട്ടലുകളും റിസോര്‍ട്ടുകളും ബുക്കിംഗ് ആരംഭിച്ചു. കുറിഞ്ഞിക്കാലം അകലെയല്ലന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണ് മൂന്നാറിലെ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയെന്ന് മൂന്നാര്‍ ഡെസ്റ്റിനേഷന്‍ മേക്കേഴ്സ്(എംഡിഎം) മുന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വിമല്‍ റോയ് ടൂറിസം ന്യൂസ് ലൈവിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. റോഡുകള്‍ തകര്‍ന്നും വൈദ്യുതി-ടെലിഫോണ്‍ ബന്ധം മുറിഞ്ഞും രണ്ടാഴ്ചയോളം ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട അവസ്ഥയിലായിരുന്നു മൂന്നാര്‍. അടിമാലി-മൂന്നാര്‍ പാതയില്‍ നിലവില്‍ ചെറിയ വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്കെ പ്രവേശനമുള്ളൂ.അടിമാലിയില്‍ നിന്ന് ആനച്ചാല്‍ വഴി മറ്റു വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മൂന്നാറിലെത്താം.നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകള്‍ പഴക്കമുള്ള മൂന്നു പാളങ്ങള്‍ പ്രളയത്തില്‍ തകര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളെ വരവേല്‍ക്കുന്നതിനു മുന്നോടിയായി മൂന്നാറും സമീപ സ്ഥലങ്ങളും ടൂറിസം രംഗത്തുള്ളവര്‍ അടക്കം എല്ലാവരെയും അണിനിരത്തി ശുചീകരിച്ചതായും വിമല്‍ റോയ് പറഞ്ഞു

Just a month back, Munnar was bustling with high-end preparations for the upcoming Neelakurinji season. Around 3500 people were expected to visit Munnar to see the kurinji flowers. But, now the once beautiful hillstation is in shatters after the devastating flood and land slides in the region. മൂന്നാറിലെ പ്ലം ജൂഡി റിസോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ വിദേശികളടക്കമുള്ള സഞ്ചാരികളെ രക്ഷപെടുത്തി. റിസോർട്ടിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയ സഞ്ചാരികളുമായി രാവിലെ ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രൻ ടെലിഫോണിൽ സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നു.19 വിദേശികളടക്കം 69 സഞ്ചാരികളാണ് പ്ലം ജൂഡി റിസോർട്ടിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയത്. വിദേശികളുമായും റിസോർട്ട് അധികൃതരുമായും മന്ത്രി ടെലിഫോണിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു. റോഡ് ശരിയാക്കാൻ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ സഹായം തേടിയിരുന്നു. തഹസിൽദാരും ദേവികുളം സബ്കളക്ടറും റിസോർട്ടിലെത്തി വിദേശികളുമായി സംസാരിച്ചു. റിസോര്‍ട്ടിലേക്കുള്ള റോഡില്‍ മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞ് തകര്‍ന്നത് കാരണമാണ് ഇവര്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയത്. ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് ഭക്ഷണമടക്കമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ സൗജന്യമായി നല്‍കാന്‍ മന്ത്രി റിസോര്‍ട്ട് അധികൃതര്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. ഇടുക്കിയില്‍ ഉള്ള വിദേശികള്‍ അടക്കമുള്ള ടൂറിസറ്റുകളെ എത്രയും വേഗം ജില്ലക്ക് പുറത്തുള്ള സുരക്ഷാ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുവാനും മന്ത്രി നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കി. ഇടുക്കിയില്‍ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരം പൂര്‍മായും നിരോധിച്ചതായും ഏതെങ്കിലും ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്കോ, ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രത്തിനോ,റിസോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ക്കോ എന്തെങ്കിലും പ്രശ്‌നം ഉണ്ടായാല്‍ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ ജില്ലാ ഭരണകൂടത്തിനേയോ ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പിനേയോ അറിയിക്കുവാനും നിലവില്‍ പരിഭ്രാന്തിക്ക് കാരണമില്ലെന്നും മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു. ഇടുക്കിയിൽ മഴ ... നിപ്പ വൈറസ് ഭീതി, വിദേശ ടൂറിസ്റ്റിന്റെ കൊലപാതകം എന്നിവ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ആഘാതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ ടൂറിസം മേഖല കരകയറി വരികയായിരുന്നു. മൂന്നാറിലെ കുറിഞ്ഞിപ്പൂക്കാലം ടൂറിസം മേഖല പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാൽ തോരാമഴ സംസ്ഥാന ടൂറിസം മേഖലയ്ക്കും തിരിച്ചടിയായി. ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകൾ ഏറെ പോകുന്ന മൂന്നാർ, വയനാട് പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ കനത്ത മഴയിൽ പലേടത്തും റോഡുകൾ തകർന്ന് ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടു. മഴ നീണ്ടത് കുറിഞ്ഞി വസന്തത്തെയും ബാധിച്ചു. പന്ത്രണ്ടു വർഷത്തിലൊരിക്കൽ പൂക്കുന്ന നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞി ജൂലൈയിൽ നീല വിസ്മയം തീർക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. എന്നാൽ അങ്ങിങ്ങായി പൂത്തതല്ലാതെ രാജഗിരി മലനിരകൾ നീലപ്പുതപ്പ് അണിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഈ മാസം അവസാനത്തോടെ നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞികൾ പൂക്കുമെന്നാണ് വനം വകുപ്പിന്റെ കണക്കു കൂട്ടൽ. കനത്ത മഴ തുടരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ കേരളത്തിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്ര ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്ന് അമേരിക്ക അവരുടെ പൗരന്മാർക്ക് നിർദ്ദേശം കൊടുത്തതും വിനയായി. വൈകാതെ മഴയൊഴിഞ്ഞ് കേരളത്തിലെ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയുടെ മേലുള്ള ആശങ്കയുടെ കാർമേഘം നീങ്ങുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണ് ഈ രംഗത്തുള്ളവർ.

The Neelakurinji season has started and will last till November. Those who wish to visit Munnar during the Kurinji season can visit the Eravikulam National Park to spot the flowers which blossoms once in 12 years. Visitors will be allowed between 7 am and 4 pm. As per the recent report by the online booking agency ‘MakeMyTrip’, Kerala tops the favourite place for tourists during this monsoon. കൊച്ചി- ധനുഷ്‌കോടി ദേശീയപാതയിലെ പള്ളിവാസലില്‍ നിന്നും മൂന്ന് കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ദൂരെയാണ് ആറ്റുകാട് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം. മൂന്നാര്‍ മേഖലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടമാണിത്. 500 അടിയിലേറെ ഉയരത്തില്‍ നിന്നും താഴേക്ക് പതിക്കുന്ന വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം കാണാന്‍ മൂന്നാറിലെത്തുന്ന വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളും ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ ആറ്റുകാട് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം കാണാന്‍ എത്തുന്നവര്‍ ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം. അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ പരിമിതമാണ് ഇവിടെ. പള്ളിവാസല്‍ മുതല്‍ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം വരെയുള്ള റോഡ് സുഗമമല്ല. വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഏറെ കഷ്ടപെട്ടാണ് ഇതുവഴി കടന്നു പോകുന്നത്. വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിന് കുറുകെയുള്ള പാലത്തില്‍ നിന്നു വേണം സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യം ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍. വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം കാണാന്‍ ദിനം പ്രതി തിരക്ക് വര്‍ധിച്ചു വരുന്നതിനാല്‍ അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള നടപടി എടുത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ് അധികൃതര്‍.

Munnar ghats are ready to witness the visual extravagance – blooming of Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana), which happens once in twelve years.
