The Government has opened 137 mountain peaks for foreigners desirous of obtaining Mountaineering Visa (‘MX’) for mountaineering and trekking. These peaks are located in the States of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. While the highest number of 51 peaks have been opened to foreigners in Uttarakhand, 15 peaks of Jammu and Kashmir have also been included in the list. Parth, is planning to climb the Mount Everest, supporting a great cause called #ClimbForGood. With an aim to start promoting religious tourism circuit in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister for Tourism KJ Alphons held discussions in New Delhi. The ministers discussed about a Rs 300 crore including a project for improving the infrastructure facilities of the state. Himachal Pradesh is famous for its various eco-tourism activities that support various tourism hotspots in the tourism map.
