Google Arts and Culture have partnered with the Ministry of Tourism to unveil a 360-degree virtual reality video for the global “Incredible India” tourism campaign. As part of the partnership, Google Arts and Culture will provide users with an immersive 360-degree view of India’s heritage, festivity, spirituality and adventure. The event was coordinated by Foundation for Aviation & Sustainable Tourism, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. With an aim to draw focus on the benefits of tourism and reinforce the principle of “Tourism for all”, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, along with SPIC MACAY, has kick started the Classical Heritage Series programme in Kochi. However, the state tourism departments are looking at the budget allocations from the Central Government for the year 2018. Officials from the ministry hint that it is not going be an exciting budget for the tourism industry. The safety and infrastructure of the industry are the sections which need immediate attention.
