Philippine Airlines to resume services to Delhi by March 2019
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is planning to resume services to Delhi in early 2019 with an aim to attract more Indian visitors and lead to faster growth in what is now the largest unserved market for the Philippines. PAL, which has not been serving any destination in India since 2013, is planning to resume its operations to Delhi by March 31, 2019. The Philippines-India market has been growing rapidly in recent years, and even faster growth is likely as nonstop services are introduced. AirAsia to launch Manila-Shenzhen direct flights in December
AirAsia is all set to launch direct flight between Manila and Shenzhen starting December 1. The carrier had earlier started its Cebu-Shenzhen flights last April. “China is an important market for us and we are looking to expand our network further and connect Filipino travelers to new and exciting business and leisure cities,” said AirAsia Philippines CEO Dexter Comendador. The carrier will fly direct to Shenzhen every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Direct flights from Cebu to Shenzhen are also on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

With Intramuros drawing 1 mn tourists, Philippines plans to boost Faith Tourism
Around one million visitors – both domestic and foreign tourists- visited the Walled City of Intramuros during the Holy Week. The Department of Tourism, Philippines and its attached agency the Intramuros Administration (IA), had arranged a series of events to promote the Walled City as a holistic faith destination in Metro Manila. “For a predominantly Catholic country like the Philippines, the Holy Week or Lenten season is a perfect time to reflect, repent and travel. 9 dead as small plane slams into house in Philippines
A small passenger plane carrying five people crashed into a house in Manila, Philippines, killing all those onboard and 4 people on the ground. The Piper-23 Apache plane took off from the airport in Plaridel town in Bulacan province, crash-landed and smashed into a house. The aircraft was operated by Lite Air Express. The flight was bound for northern Laoag city.
