Maldives to reopen for Indian tourists from July 15

Maldives will reopen for Indian tourists from July 15. “Maldives will start issuing on arrival tourist visas starting 15th July to tourists travelling from South Asia. Tourists require negative PCR result to enter Maldives. Further details will follow accordingly,” Maldives tourism ministry said in a tweet on Tuesday. The Maldives announces a full ban on passengers from South Asian countries, including India, The Maldivian Department of Immigration mentioned this in a statement shared on Twitter. “Temporary ban on all other categories of visa holders from South Asian countries, including tourists,” the tweet said. Earlier, Indians were banned from traveling to the Maldivian locals living islands. But now an order has been issued imposing a complete ban. Emirates has announced it will increase services to popular holiday destinations, Maldives and Seychelles, ahead of the Easter break. Starting 28 March, the airline will offer customers 28 weekly flights to Male, and seven weekly flights to Mahe.
