Based in Hamburg, Germany, the WorldMediaFestivals have been honouring creativity in media worldwide for the past 21 years, including audiovisual, print, and online production. No entry for passengers from Malaysia, Philippines
India on Tuesday banned the entry of passengers from Malaysia, Philippines and Afghanistan into the country with immediate effect. In an additional travel advisory the government said no flight shall take off from these countries to India after 3 pm IST. The various airlines concerned should enforce this at the port of initial departure, the advisory said. This instruction is a temporary measure and will be in force till March 31 and will be reviewed subsequently. India has already banned the entry of passengers from EU countries, Turkey and the UK till March 31.

Malaysia hopes to attract 30 million tourists via ITB Berlin participation

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd and Tourism Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the Joint International Development Tourism Programme (JITDP). The MoU looks into possible cooperation between the two parties especially in the area of international tourism promotion. The initiatives planned include airlines collaboration, the operation of inaugural and charter flights, as well as high-yield niche tourism promotion. Tourism Malaysia has launched the “Malaysia Fantastic Deals” package to promote more value-for-money holiday packages to Malaysia for tourists from India. The campaign was officiated by Tuan Syed Yahya Syed Othman, Director of Package Development Division, Tourism Malaysia, and and Manoj Mehta, Country Manager of Malindo Air. Malaysia to reduce visa cost for Chinese tourists
The government of Malaysia is seeking possibilities to reduce the cost of visa for Chinese tourists in order to enhance the inbound tourists from China. “We will have to decide on a visa cost, which is not too high and ways on how to speed up the visa issuance process,” said Mahathir Bin Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The current mosque, located across the street only has a capacity for 600 worshippers. The new mosque will be able to accommodate 1,600 persons and under the second phase later, we plan to have an area for solemnization ceremony. Chinese tourists help Malaysian tourism to move on
Malaysian tourism sector is in a revival mode after the slow pace in inbound tourists during the first four months of the year. The fortifying factor was the increased number of Chinese tourists during the last two months of the first half of the year.
