ലോക കയാക്കിങ് ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പിനൊരുങ്ങി കോഴിക്കോട്
നിപ ഭീതിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പൂര്‍ണമായും മുക്തി നേടിയ കോഴിക്കോടിന് ഉണര്‍വേകാന്‍ ലോക കയാക്കിങ് ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പും ആറാമത് മലബാര്‍ റിവര്‍ ഫെസ്റ്റിവലും 18 മുതല്‍ 22 വരെ തുഷാരഗിരിയില്‍ നടക്കുമെന്ന് ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയെ നിപ വിമുക്തമേഖലയായി സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത് ഈ കൊല്ലത്തെ മലബാര്‍ റിവര്‍ ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിന് സഹായകമാകുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഏഷ്യയിലെ സാഹസിക വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര മേഖലയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും പ്രചാരമേറിയ വൈറ്റ് വാട്ടര്‍ കയാക്കിങ്ങായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ മേളയില്‍ അഞ്ച് ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി 25 ടീമുകളാണ് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്. വിജയികളാകുന്ന മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥിക്ക് 15 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് സമ്മാനമായി നല്‍കുന്നത്. ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പിന് കീഴിലുള്ള കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലാ ടൂറിസം പ്രെമോഷന്‍ കൗണ്‍സില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പിന് ബംഗളൂരു മദ്രാസ് ഫണ്‍ ടൂള്‍സാണ് സാങ്കേതിക സഹായം നല്‍കുകയും കൂടാതെ ജി എം ഐ കോഴിക്കോട്, ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത്, തിരുവമ്പാടി ചക്കിട്ടപ്പാറ, കോടഞ്ചേരി ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്തുകളാണ് സഹായ സഹകരണങ്ങളോടെയാവും ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ഷിപ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന് ... World champions to participate in Kayaking Championship
