Tigress gives birth to 2 cubs in Panna reserve
An eight-year-old tigress has given birth to two cubs in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna Tiger Reserve, a senior forest official said. The tiger reserve management had the information about the birth of the cubs of tigress named T-234, but they were captured on cameras for the first time last week, Panna Tiger Reserve’s (PTR) field director Uttam Kumar Sharma told reporters on Tuesday. As per Hariranjan Rao, Principal Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC), there has been an increase of 15 per cent in hotel bookings in this season. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is planning to hire over 5000 students from the city for working in different positions as a step to better the tourism prospective of the state. Ministry asks Bihar to rework on Ramayana circuit proposal
Tourism Ministry has asked Bihar to rework on the Ramayana Circuit proposal it had submitted. The State Government of Bihar has submitted the proposal for development of Sitamarhi, Buxar and Darbhanga under Ramayana Circuit. “A presentation on the project was made in the Ministry of Tourism on 13.02.2018 and based on discussion, the State Government has been requested to rework on the project as per scheme guidelines,” informed K J Alphons, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism.
