National Tribal Festival “Aadi Mahotsav” gets a colourful start
The nine-day Aadi Mahotsav (National Tribal Festival), a joint initiative of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India & Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), is all set for a colourful start today at Polo Ground, Leh-Ladakh. 3 out of 4 Indians ready to spend on travel: Survey
According to a recent survey by professional online travel search engine ‘Yatra.com’, around 75 per cent of Indian respondents are agreeing to spend nearly Rs 25,000 for a seasonal trip. As per the company, Indians prefer to travel during summer to avoid the wrath of summer heat. Over 75 per cent prefer to travel by air, followed by 90 per cent to rely on Indian Railways. Avalanche Alert issued in J&k
A low danger avalanche warning has been issued by the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), across various hilly regions in Jammu and Kashmir. All tourist in the valley is advised to take safety measures, considering the weather condition. According to an official statement from Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, the following regions are under threat- Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Kupwara, Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Kulgam, Badgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Gurez in Kashmir, besides Srinagar-Jammu National Highway for the next 24 hours.
