KSRTC launches tent stay scheme in Munnar to increase non-ticket revenue. The plan is to provide convenient and safe tents on a daily rental basis for tourists visiting Munnar. The special bus introduced by KSRTC (Non AC Sleeper) has a 30 seater system and is now available every day from Bangalore to Jog. KSRTC Shimoga Divisional Officer Satish.V has responded to the media. Following the success of KSRTC’s Munnar Sightseeing Package, KSRTC is ready to test the Sightseeing model in Idukki. The new plan will connect the major tourist destinations in the High Range. The new plans are aimed at resolving the financial crisis. The service will start from Kumily at 8 am and reach Parunthumpara, Vagamon, Ayyappan Kovil suspension bridge, Anchuruli Falls, Ramakkalmedu, and Chellarkovil at 6.00 pm. Tent camping and campfire is the latest project being prepared by KSRTC for tourists in Munnar. This is part of the goal of providing better accommodation at a lower cost. The tent facility will be set up at Eucalyptus Estate near Munnar old KSRTC depot and two tents and a campfire will be set up in the first phase. As part of the government’s green initiative, the union ministry to encourage electric vehicles on roads.
