Korea Tourism Organisation to organize two-day festival in Mumbai
Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) is organizing a two-day Korea festival showcasing Korea’s rich art, culture and heritage on 13 -14 April at High Street Phoenix in Mumbai. Prior to the festival, a press conference will be held on 12th April, 2019 to announce KTO’s business plans for the year. Organised by KTO, the two-day extravaganza aims to popularize South Korea as a hot favourite destination among Indian travellers by giving a glimpse into the rich Korean culture. Foreign tourists continues to decline in Korea
For the twelfth consecutive month that the Korean tourism is facing a sharp decline, mainly due to a plunge in the number of Chinese tourists. Tourists numbers dropped 16.5 per cent despite the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The total number of inbound visitors reached only 1.05 million in February, which was largely attributed to a sharp decline in the number of Chinese nationals who visited the country, which stood at 590,790, down 41.5 percent on-year.
