The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, has inaugurated the one-month long Jatayu Carnival at Chadayamangalam in Kollam. “Jatayu Earth’s Centre has the potential to be the most popular destination,” said the chief minister after inaugurating the Carnival. “The Earth’s Centre area is very pleasant and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Considering the disastrous situation of rain and flood in the state, the inauguration function of Jatayu Earth’s Center at Chadayamangalam, Kollam, has been postponed until further notice. It was informed by Kadakampally Surendran, Tourism Minister of Kerala. “The helicopter of Jadayu Earth’s Center will be used for rescue operations in the flood affected areas,” said Rajiv Anchal, Managing Director, Jatayu Earth’s Center. Earlier, it was planned to inaugurate on 17th August 2018.

ആര്‍ച്ചല്‍ ഓലിയരുക് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം കേന്ദ്രമാക്കിയുള്ള ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതിയുടെ നിര്‍മാണ ഉദ്ഘാടനം 31നു വൈകിട്ട് അഞ്ചിനു മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ നിര്‍വഹിക്കും. കിഴക്കന്‍ മേഖലയിലെ മനോഹര ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നാണ് ഏരൂര്‍ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ഈ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം. കടുത്ത വേനലില്‍ ഒഴുക്ക് കുറയുമെങ്കിലും മഴയുടെ തുടക്കത്തില്‍തന്നെ ജലപാതം ശക്തമാകും. ജില്ല ടൂറിസം പ്രമോഷന്‍ കൗണ്‍സിലിന്റെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ തയാറാക്കിയ പദ്ധതിയാണു ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നത്. വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം കാണാന്‍ എത്തുന്നവരുടെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ സംവിധാനങ്ങളും അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളും ഏരൂര്‍ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തും.ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ആര്‍പിഎല്‍, ഓയില്‍ പാം എസ്റ്റേറ്റുകള്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ക്രമീകരണങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകും.

അഷ്ടമുടിയില്‍ നിന്ന് അഷ്ടമുടിയിലേക്കൊരു ബോട്ട് യാത്ര. നിരവധി സഞ്ചാരികളാണ് ജലയാത്രയ്ക്കായി എത്തുന്നത്. സംസ്ഥാന ജലഗതാഗത വകുപ്പിന്റെ ബോട്ടില്‍ അഷ്ടമുടി വീരഭദ്രസ്വാമിക്ഷേത്ര ജട്ടിയില്‍നിന്ന് ബോട്ടില്‍ കയറിയാല്‍ ഒരുമണിക്കൂര്‍ കായല്‍പ്പരപ്പിലൂടെ യാത്രചെയ്ത് ഉല്ലസിച്ച് അഷ്ടമുടി ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്റ്‌റിലെത്താം. ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് 11 രൂപ നിരക്കില്‍ ദിവസവും ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1.40നും വൈകിട്ട് 6.45നും ബോട്ട് ക്ഷേത്ര ജെട്ടിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടും. കല്ലടയാര്‍ അഷ്ടമുടി കായലില്‍ ഒഴുകിച്ചേരുന്ന ഭാഗവും ഈ യാത്രയില്‍ കാണാമെന്ന പ്രത്യേകതയുമുണ്ട്. യാത്രയ്ക്കിടയില്‍ തെക്കുംഭാഗം, തോലുകടവ്, കോയിവിള, പെരുങ്ങാലം, പട്ടന്‍തുരുത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയ അഞ്ച് ജട്ടികളില്‍ ബോട്ട് അടുക്കും. കൊല്ലത്തുനിന്ന് ബസില്‍ വരുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് വീരഭദ്രസ്വാമിക്ഷേത്രത്തിനടുത്ത് ഇറങ്ങി ബോട്ടില്‍ കയറി അഷ്ടമുടി ബസ് സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡ് ജെട്ടിയിലിറങ്ങി അവിടെനിന്ന് കൊല്ലത്തേക്ക് തിരികെ പോകാം. അഷ്ടമുടി ക്ഷേത്ര ജട്ടിയില്‍നിന്ന് ദിവസവും രാവിലെ 10-ന് കൊല്ലത്തേക്കും ബോട്ട് സര്‍വീസുണ്ട്. പ്രാക്കുളം, സാമ്പ്രാണിക്കോടി, കുരീപ്പുഴ, കാവനാട് വഴി ഒന്നേകാല്‍ മണിക്കൂര്‍ക്കൊണ്ട് കൊല്ലത്തെത്താം.
