Superfast AC ferry to connect Vaikom and Kochi from Nov 4
Kerala’s first air-conditioned and fastest ferry is all set to be launched by November 4 connecting the 35-km Vaikom-Ernakulam-Fort Kochi route. The ferry can accommodate 40 passengers in its AC cabin and 80 in the non-AC area. It is expected to complete the journey between Vaikom and Ernakulam Boat Jetty in 90 minutes, compared to the two hour via buses that ply between the two places. Minister for Finance Dr T M Thomas Isaac and Minister for Transport A K Saseendran are expected to be present at the vessel’s inaugural run from Vaikom.
