  കുവൈറ്റിലെ പ്രമുഖ വിമാന സര്‍വീസായ ജസീറ എയര്‍വെയ്‌സ് കൊച്ചിയിലേക്ക് വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇതിലൂടെ കേരള ടൂറിസവുമായി കുവൈറ്റ് അടുത്തബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യതാണ് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. പുതിയ വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ കേരളത്തിന്റെയും കുവൈറ്റിന്റെയും ടൂറിസം, മെഡിക്കല്‍ ടൂറിസം രംഗത്ത് നിരവധി മികച്ച അവസരങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും, വാരാന്ത്യത്തില്‍ മെഡിക്കല്‍ ട്രീറ്റുമെന്റുകള്‍ക്കായി ധാരാളം ആളുകളാണ് കുവൈറ്റില്‍ നിന്ന് കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് വരുന്നത്. അവര്‍ക്ക ഈ വിമാനസര്‍വീസ് വളരെ ഗുണം ചെയ്യുമെന്നും ജസീറ എയര്‍വെയ്‌സിന്റെ വിപി മാര്‍ക്കറ്റിങ്ങ് ആന്റ് കസ്റ്റമര്‍ ഓഫീസര്‍ ആന്‍ഡ്രൂ വാര്‍ഡ് പറഞ്ഞു. ജസീറയുടെ ഹൈദ്രബാദ്, അഹമദാബാദ് സര്‍വീസിന് ശേഷം മൂന്നാമത്തെ സര്‍വീസാണ് കൊച്ചിയിലേത്. തിങ്കള്‍, ചൊവ്വ,വ്യാഴം,ഞായര്‍ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ആഴ്ച്ചയില്‍ നാല് ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ കുവൈറ്റില്‍ നിന്ന് കൊച്ചിയിലേക്ക് എത്തും. രാത്രിയില്‍ 8.55ന് കൊച്ചിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന വിമാനം പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 12.10ന് കുവൈറ്റില്‍ എത്തും. തിരിച്ച് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12.45ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന വിമാനം രാത്രി 8.10ന് കൊച്ചിയിലെത്തും.

Kuwait’s major low cost airline, Jazeera Airways, which has started its operation to Kochi, is said to be seeing the possibility of a tie-up with Kerala tourism. “There is a great opportunity for Kuwait and Kerala in the field of medical and leisure tourism. There is lot of traffic especially during weekends to Kerala out of Kuwait, many of whom could be seeking medical treatment in the state,” said Andrew Ward, VP Marketing and Customer Experience, Jazeera. സഞ്ചാരി സംഘങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ഇടമായ നെയ്യാര്‍ ഡാമിലെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഏക സിംഹ സഫാരി പാര്‍ക്ക് അടച്ച് പൂട്ടല്‍ ഭീഷണിയില്‍. 17 ഓളം സിംഹങ്ങളാല്‍ നിറഞ്ഞ സഫാരി പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നത് കേവലം രണ്ട് പെണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം. പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഏക ആണ്‍ സിംഹം കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം ചത്തു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അവശേഷിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു പെണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങളും വാര്‍ധക്യം ബാധിച്ചു അവശതയിലാണ്. അവശത ബാധിച്ച സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷീണം കാരണം വനത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ഒതുങ്ങി കൂടുയതിനാല്‍ പാര്‍ക്കില്‍ എത്തുന്ന സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്ക് പലപ്പോഴും അവയെ കാണാന്‍ സാധിക്കാനാവുന്നില്ല. ഇക്കാരണത്താല്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശകരുടെ എണ്ണം ഗണ്യമായി കുറഞ്ഞു. പാര്‍ക്ക് സജീവമാക്കുന്നതിന് ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഗീര്‍ വനത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു ജോഡി സിംഹങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള നടപടി എങ്ങും എത്താതെ ഫയലില്‍ തന്നെ ഉറങ്ങുന്നു. വംശവര്‍ധന തടയുന്നതിനായി 2002ല്‍ രണ്ട് ആണ്‍ സിംഹങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വന്ധ്യംകരണം നടത്തിയതോടെയാണ് പാര്‍ക്കിലെ സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു. അതിനുശേഷം ഇവിടെ സിംഹകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ പിറന്നിട്ടില്ല. പിന്നീട് ബാക്കിയായവ ഒന്നൊന്നായി ചത്തു. ... The state capital of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, is all ready for the five day National Banan Festival 2018. The event, which is scheduled to be held from February 17 to 21, 2018, will be held at the Vellayani Grounds in Kalliyoor Grama Panchayat. Kerala is all set its eye on the European travellers with a handful of new projects and packages. The Department of Tourism has set apart Rs 7.5 crore for promotional activities to woo the European tourists to the state. Kerala will focus more on farm tourism, eco, medical, cruise and adventure tourism segments, said Kerala Governor P Sathasivom while addressing the 14th Kerala Assembly today. The government proposes to set up cultural corridors called ‘Natarangu’ in villages and towns where suitable open spaces are available. “There will be amphitheatres where local artistic and cultural performances could be held,” informed the Governor. Photo-Courtesy: Praveen-Kattayikonam Kerala State Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran inaugurates the Rs. 7 crore historic Madavoorpara tourism project, on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. “Madavoorppara would become a major tourist centre in the district once the Rs. 7 crore development work by Uralungal Labour Cooperative Society completes. The project is expected to be completed in a-year-and-a-half,” says the minister.
