Kerala Tourism has launched a video to greet Islam followers on the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr. The video is aiming to attract travellers to Kerala during the festive season by projecting the festive theme, cuisine and ambiance. The first ever yoga tour in the world will commence from tomorrow, 14th June 2018. Yoga masters as ambassoders of their respective countries have started to arrive for the Yoga Ambassadors Tour 2018. Yoga Ambassadors Tour would enhance the growth of tourism in Kerala, said Tourism Minister Kadakampalli Surender in the Kerala Legislative Assembly today.  While answering the queries of MLAs – Prathibha Hari, A N Shamsheer, C K Hareendran, and U R Pradeep- the minister stated that the Tourism ministry has taken all the necessary steps to facilitate the Yoga Ambassador Tour Programme, which is to be conducted on June 14 2018. Yoga Ambassador’s Tour is all set to begin on June 14th with an aim to propagate Kerala as a global destination. Around 60-plus Yoga professionals from across the world will be a part of the tour. ATTOI (Association of Tourism Trade Organizations, India), in association with Ministry of Ayush and Kerala Tourism, is organising the tour, which is first-of-its-kind in the world.   There has been speculations about the safety of travellers to Kerala due to the recent Nipah outbreak. Though the state government has assured many times that it is safe to travel anywhere in Kerala except the four northern districts in the state where Nipah has hit, many has raised concerns about travelling. Today, eliminating all the confusions, the Health and Family Welfare Department, Ministry of Kerala has issued a notification regarding withdrawal of the advisory to the travelers to abstain from travelling to Kerala. സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ പുതിയ ടൂറിസം നയം പ്രകാരം ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളെ ബന്ധപ്പെടുത്തുവാന്‍ പുതിയ റോഡുകള്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്നതിനും, നിലവിലെ റോഡുകള്‍ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍ ചെയര്‍മാനായി മന്ത്രിതല സമിതി രൂപീകരിച്ചു. ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്കുള്ള റോഡ് നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിനും, നവീകരണത്തിനുമായി കിഫ്കിയും, തദ്ദേശ സ്വയം ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും, ടൂറിസം അടിസ്ഥാന വികസനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വകുപ്പുകളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ഏകോപനത്തിനും മേല്‍നോട്ടത്തിനുമാണ് മന്ത്രിതല സമിതി രൂപീകരിച്ചത്. ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ വൈസ് ചെയര്‍മാനായ സമിതിയില്‍ റവന്യൂ, പൊതുമരാമത്ത്, വൈദ്യുതി, തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണം, വനം, ജലസേചന വകുപ്പികളിലെ മന്ത്രിമാരും, വകുപ്പുകളിലെ ഉന്നത ഉദ്ദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും അംഗങ്ങളാണ്. പുതിയ സമിതി മുന്നോട്ട് വെക്കുന്ന പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ടൂറിസം വികസനത്തില്‍ വലിയ മാറ്റമുണടാകുമെന്ന് ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. പുതിയ സമിതിയുടെ രൂപീകരണത്തിലൂടെ ടൂറിസം വികസനത്തിന് വിഘാതമാകുന്ന അത്യാവശ്യ തടസ്സങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴിവാക്കാനും, മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട റോഡുകള്‍ എന്ന ആവശ്യം യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യമാക്കാനും സാധിക്കും.

The century-old boathouse at the end of the Parvathy Puthanar  at Vallakkadavu in Thiruvananthapuram to feature a biodiversity museum, established by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB). Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the museum on June 5 to coincide with the World Environment Day. കേരളത്തിൽ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരവകുപ്പിന്റെ ക്ലാസിഫിക്കേഷന്‍ സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്‌ ഇല്ലാത്ത നിരവധി ഹോം സ്‌റ്റേകള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രൻ അറിയിച്ചു. ഹോം സ്‌റ്റേ ക്ലാസിഫിക്കേഷന്‍ ഒരു ലൈസന്‍സിന്റെയും പരിധിയില്‍ വരാത്തതിനാല്‍ ഇത്തരം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ക്കെതിരെ നടപടിയെടുക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച്‌ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യാന്‍ അടിയന്തിര യോഗം വിളിച്ചു ചേർക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചുവെന്നും മന്ത്രി നിയമസഭയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. കോവളത്ത് വിദേശ വനിത ലിഗയുടെ കൊലപാതകത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് ടൂറിസം പൊലീസിന്റെ നിലവിലുള്ള ശക്തി വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ടൂറിസം പൊലീസില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വനിതകളെ ഉള്‍പ്പെടത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. ടൂറിസം പൊലീസിലെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഭാഷാനൈപുണ്യക്ലാസുകള്‍, അവബോധ ക്ലാസുകള്‍, ഇതര ട്രെയ്‌നിങുകള്‍ എന്നിവ കിറ്റ്‌സ്‌ മുഖാന്തിരം നല്‍കുന്നതിനു തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. സംസ്ഥാനത്തൊട്ടാകെ 178 ലൈഫ്‌ഗാര്‍ഡുകളാണ്‌ ടൂറിസം രംഗത്ത്‌ സേവനമനുഷ്ടിക്കുന്നത്‌. ഇവരുടെ സേവനം നിര്‍ദ്ദിഷ്ട കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനു തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കു നേരെയുള്ള മോശപ്പെട്ട പെരുമാറ്റവും ആക്രമണവും ചൂഷണവും തടയുന്നതിനായി വ്യാപാരികള്‍ക്കും ഓട്ടോ ടാക്‌സി ഡ്രൈവര്‍മാര്‍ക്കും തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ കാര്‍ഡ്‌ നല്‍കും. ടൂറിസ്‌റ്റ്‌ ഗൈഡുകള്‍ക്ക്‌ ... പിണറായി വിജയൻ സർക്കാർ അധികാരത്തിൽ രണ്ടു വർഷം പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചു. ടൂറിസം മേഖലയിൽ ഈ സർക്കാർ എന്തൊക്കെ ചെയ്തു? അധികാരത്തിലേറും മുൻപ് ഇടതുമുന്നണി നൽകിയ വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളും ഇതുവരെ നടപ്പാക്കിയവയും. സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ പ്രോഗ്രസ് റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഇതാ… വാഗ്ദാനം : കേരളത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ വരവ് 2014- 16 കാലത്ത് ഗണ്യമായി മന്ദീഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിനുള്ള കാരണങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെത്തി പരിഹരിച്ച് അഞ്ചുവർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കേരളത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വിദേശടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണം ഇരട്ടിയാക്കും. വിദേശടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണം 12 ലക്ഷത്തിൽനിന്ന് (2016) 24 ലക്ഷമായി അഞ്ചു വർഷംകൊണ്ട് (2021) ഉയർത്തും. ആഭ്യന്തര ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണം 1.3 കോടിയിൽനിന്ന് രണ്ടുകോടിയായി ഉയർത്തും. നടപടി :  കേരളത്തിലെ വിവിധ വിനോദസഞ്ചാരകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ എത്തുന്ന വിദേശീയരും തദ്ദേശീയരുമായ ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകൾക്ക് വേണ്ട അടിസ്ഥാനസൗകര്യവികസനത്തിന് ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള പദ്ധതിയാണ് ഗ്രീൻ കാർപ്പറ്റ് പദ്ധതി. വിദേശരാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടെ മേളകൾ, റോഡ് ഷോകൾ,നവമാദ്ധ്യമപ്രചാരണം എന്നിയും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചതിലൂടെ വിദേശടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ വർദ്ധന ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ടൂറിസ്റ്റുകളെ ഹർത്താലിൽനിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം ടൂറിസം മേഖലയെ ... കവ്വായി കായല്‍ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് അഞ്ചു കോടി രൂപ ചെലവില്‍ ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നു. ബോട്ട് ടെര്‍മിനലും നടപ്പാതയുമാണ് കായലോരത്ത് ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുക. കണ്ണൂര്‍, കാസര്‍കോട് ജില്ലകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന കവ്വായി കായലില്‍ കാസര്‍കോട് ജില്ലയില്‍ ഒട്ടനവധി ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതികള്‍ നിലവിലുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍, നഗരസഭ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചു കവ്വായി കായലില്‍ ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കിയിരുന്നില്ല. സി.കൃഷ്ണന്‍ എംഎല്‍എ പയ്യന്നൂര്‍ മണ്ഡലത്തില്‍ കവ്വായി കായല്‍, കാപ്പാട് ബാക്ക് വാട്ടര്‍, മീങ്കുഴി അണക്കെട്ട്, കൊട്ടത്തലച്ചി മല എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനു സര്‍ക്കാരില്‍ നിന്ന് അനുമതിയും ഫണ്ടും ലഭ്യമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആദ്യ ഘട്ടമായി കാപ്പാട് ബാക്ക് വാട്ടര്‍ ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതി തുടങ്ങിയതോടെ വന്‍ ജനാവലിയാണ് ഈ കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ എത്തുന്നത്. കവ്വായി കായല്‍ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചു ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതോടെ കാപ്പാടും മീങ്കുഴിയും ബന്ധപ്പെടുത്തി പദ്ധതി വികസിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലാണ് ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ്. കവ്വായി കായലില്‍ കയാക്കിങ് സംവിധാനം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയും. കാപ്പാട് ബാക്ക് വാട്ടര്‍ ടൂറിസം ... Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Cooperation and Devaswoms, has welcomed Indian Medical Association (IMA) president Dr Ravi Wankadekar’s statement that Kerala has nothing to worry about the Nipah virus scare and that the state is absolutely safe from the virus. Stating that Kerala is indeed a safe destination, Kadakampally Surendran said that around 300 doctors who have arrived to Kerala from various parts of India for the IMA conference organised in Kovalam stands testimony to this.
