There are a myriad number of organizations operating in tandem with the tourism/hospitality sector. But, very few of them do something meaningful to the tourism sector. Apart from development of tourism, at least some of them are showing profound interest in the sustainable development of the ecosystem. Thekkady Destination Promotion Council (TDPC) is such an organization striving for the development of tourism in the area, while taking considerate measures in conserving environment.

കേരള ടൂറിസത്തിനു സ്വന്തമായി എത്ര വാഹനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്? 126 വാഹനങ്ങൾ എന്ന് സർക്കാർ സ്ഥിരീകരണം. വകുപ്പിൽ 45 ഷോഫർ ഗ്രേഡ് 2 തസ്തികയും 45 ഷോഫർ ഗ്രേഡ് 1 തസ്തികയും 4 ഹെഡ് ഷോഫർ തസ്തികയുമുണ്ട്. ഇതിൽ സ്ഥിര ജോലിക്കാരുടെ എണ്ണം 83 ആണ്. 11പേർ താൽക്കാലിക ജീവനക്കാരാണ്.പിഎസ്‌സി മുഖേന നികത്തേണ്ട ഷോഫർ തസ്തികകളിലെ ഒഴിവുകൾ പിഎസ് സി യെ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രൻ അറിയിച്ചു.

Kerala Tourism, prominent for its innovative ideas for the development of tourism, planning to launch yet another programme named ‘Barrier-free Kerala Tourism,’ which aims to convert the State into a 100 per cent-accessible friendly tourist destination by 2021.The project will be carried out by the Department of Tourism in cooperation with Responsible Tourism (RT) mission, Kerala Tourism Minister Kadakkampally Surendran will inaugurate the commencement of the work of the 'Barrier-Free Kerala Tourism' project on 27 June. An 'Accessible tourism' workshop will also be held the same day in which public-private players in the tourism sector are expected to participate.

Kerala Tourism is once again in the limelight. And, this time it takes the credit for launching one of the biggest advertising campaigns in the national level, aimed to mesmerize the domestic tourists. Joining Kerala Tourism, is the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, which has offered the exteriors of the coaches of the Delhi metro trains to adorn the vinyl graphics highlighting a collage of images from God’s Own Country. The campaign by Kerala Tourism includes the spectacle of a huge canvas, depicting the state’s soulful natural beauty such as serene beaches, emerald backwaters, lush hill stations, and exotic wildlife.

It’s from her father that Salila Sukumaran started taking the basic lessons of yoga. Elissa was one of the delegates touring Kerala with the Yoga Ambassadors Tour. The event was organized in association with the Ministry of AYUSH and Kerala Tourism. നിപ ഭീതി, വിദേശ വനിതയുടെ കൊലപാതകം എന്നിവയില്‍ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലായ കേരള ടൂറിസത്തിന് തിരിച്ചുവരവിന്‍റെ കുതിപ്പു നല്‍കി യോഗ അംബാസഡേഴ്സ് ടൂര്‍ ആദ്യ പതിപ്പ് സമാപിച്ചു. കേന്ദ്ര ആയുഷ് മന്ത്രാലയം, കേരള ടൂറിസം എന്നിവയുടെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ അസോസിയേഷന്‍  ഓഫ് ടൂറിസം ട്രേഡ് ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷന്‍സ് ഇന്ത്യ (അറ്റോയ്) ആണ് യോഗ അംബാസഡേഴ്സ് ടൂര്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്.  കഴിഞ്ഞ 14ന് കോവളത്ത് നിന്നാരംഭിച്ച  യോഗ അംബാസഡേഴ്സ് ടൂര്‍  എട്ടു ദിവസത്തെ പര്യടനത്തിനു ശേഷം കൊച്ചിയിലാണ് സമാപിച്ചത്. യോഗാ ടൂറിസത്തില്‍ കേരളത്തിന്‍റെ സാധ്യതകളിലേക്ക്  വാതില്‍ തുറക്കുന്നതായി പര്യടനം. കേരളത്തിലെ വിനോദസഞ്ചാര രംഗം തകര്‍ക്കാന്‍ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് മോശം വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ ചിലര്‍ ആസൂത്രിതമായി പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനിടെയായിരുന്നു യോഗാ പര്യടനം. 23രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് 52 പേര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത യോഗാ ടൂര്‍ ലോകത്ത് തന്നെ ഇദംപ്രഥമമായിരുന്നു. കേരളത്തെ യോഗാ ടൂറിസത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രമാക്കുക, യോഗയെക്കുറിച്ച് കൂടുതല്‍ അറിവ് നല്‍കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു പര്യടനത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്നു അറ്റോയ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് പികെ അനീഷ്‌ കുമാര്‍, സെക്രട്ടറി വി ശ്രീകുമാരമേനോന്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ... The first edition of Yoga Ambassadors Tour conducted in Kerala, which started on 14th June at Kovalam, has concluded in Kochi on 21st June 2018 – the International Yoga Day. The tour ended proclaiming Kerala to be the Yoga destination in the coming days. Association of Tourism Trade Organizations, India (ATTOI), famed for their innovative concepts in tourism industry, was the organizers of the programme. It was a distinctive experience for the participants and spectators, when people from 23 different countries performed ‘yoga asanas’ in harmony. Yoga experts from 23 different countries assembled to perform yoga in Kochi as part of the Yoga Ambassadors Tour, organized by Association of Tourism Trade Organizations India (ATTOI), in association with Kerala Tourism and Ayush Minstry. Apart from the foreign delegates, people from different parts of the state also participated in the mass yoga demonstration.

Munnar ghats are ready to witness the visual extravagance – blooming of Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana), which happens once in twelve years. This time it is expected to be between July to October. Kerala Tourism Department hopes it would revive the tourism industry, which has adversely affected by the Nipah virus outbreak during the last month.

പന്ത്രണ്ട് വര്‍ഷത്തിലൊരിക്കല്‍ വിരിയുന്ന നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞി വസന്തത്തിനെ വരവേല്‍ക്കാന്‍ മൂന്നാര്‍ മല നിരകള്‍ ഒരുങ്ങി കഴിഞ്ഞു. നിപയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ മങ്ങലേറ്റിരുന്ന ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പിന് പുത്തനുണര്‍വായിരിക്കും നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞി. മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുന്നേ ആരംഭിച്ച ബുക്കിങ് സംവിധാനത്തെ നിപ സാരാമായി ബാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.പ്രീ ബുക്കിങ് സംവിധാനത്തില്‍ പത്ത് ശതമാനത്തിന്റെ കുറവാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പിനോട് ടൂര്‍ ഓപ്പറേറ്റ്‌സ് അറിയിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ നിപയെ പൂര്‍ണമായും പ്രതിരോധിക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ച സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞി കാണാന്‍ എത്തുന്ന വിദേശ സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ വര്‍ധനവുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണ് ടൂറിസം രംഗം. ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ വഴിയുള്ള ക്യാംപെയ്‌നുകള്‍ ഇതിനോടകം ആരംഭിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാണ് ടൂറിസം മേഖല. അത്യപൂര്‍വ വര്‍ണക്കാഴ്ച ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍ വിപുലമായ ഒരുക്കങ്ങളാണ് സര്‍ക്കാരും ജില്ലാ ഭരണകേന്ദ്രവും ഒരുക്കുന്നത്. ലോകത്ത് പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരകളിലാണിത് സമൃദ്ധമായി വിരിയുന്നത്. ഊട്ടി, കൊടൈക്കനാല്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഏറ്റവുമധികം പൂവിടുന്നത് മൂന്നാര്‍ ആനമുടി ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍. ലോകത്താകെ 46 തരം കുറിഞ്ഞി ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും 22 ഇനം ഈ മേഖലയിലുണ്ട്. ‘സ്ട്രോബിലാന്തസ് കുന്തിയാന’ ശാസ്ത്രനാമത്തിലുള്ള നീലക്കുറിഞ്ഞിയാണ് ഇവിടെ കൂടുതലുള്ളത്. കഴിഞ്ഞതവണ ...
