Karita Aaltonen hails from Finland, which is one of the world’s most northern and geographically remote countries and is the world’s happiest country. But, however, Karita feels that Kerala is the most beautiful place in the world. She was in Kerala in June 2018 for a 10-day Yoga Ambassadors Tour, organized by ATTOI (Association of Tourism Trade Organisations, India). The Kerala Blog Express rolls out from Kochi
Twenty-six travel bloggers from across the globe began a fortnight’s trip across Kerala from Kochi on March 21, 2019. The sixth edition of the ‘Kerala Blog Express’ (KBE) was flagged off by Rani George, Secretary, Kerala Tourism at the Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolghatty. The Blog Express had its first halt at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, where the prominent social media influencers from 21 countries took a round of India’s biggest contemporary art festival. RT Mission plans to introduce story telling and cultural sessions in tourism
As part of diversifying the tourism products and to encourage sustainable tourism models, the Responsible Tourism Mission of Kerala is planning a number of innovative concepts in the tourism sector of the state. The objective of the programme is to recompense the loss in the tourism sector due to drop in the number of tourists in the previous year, due to various reasons. Kerala has been favourite destination for tourists from Telengana
Kerala has been the favourite destination for Telugu people during 2018. As per records, around 1.26 lakh tourists from Telangana visited Kerala during the year, citing an increase of 27 per cent tourist footfall from the state, when compared to the previous year. It was informed by VS Anil, Deputy Director, Kerala Tourism Department, while talking in a B2B meeting in Hyderabad. “Meanwhile, 13 per cent increase in tourist base was registered from the neighboring State of Andhra Pradesh to Kerala during 2018,” he added. Kerala Tourism invites proposals to conduct Champions Boat League
The Department of Tourism has invited proposals from eligible sports/event management agencies for branding, promoting, marketing and revenue generation activities of the Champions Boat League. The last date of submitting proposals has been extended till 3 pm, February 21, 2019. The selected agency will be responsible for promotional activities for five years. From this year onward, the famed snake boat races of Kerala are to be held in a league format on all Saturdays from August to November 1.
