Thekkady is one of the important tourist destinations in the state. The area, which is visited by many people on a daily basis, is planning comprehensive development activities and innovative programs to attract tourists. The channel manager software system is designed to help international and domestic tourists to book KTDC hotels more quickly and efficiently. There is a need to set up a lake viewing center and lighthouse near the Ashtamudi Veerabhadraswamy Temple to enjoy the scenery of Ashtamudi Lake. The main part of the Ashtamudi Lake, which has eight branches, is located near the Veerabhadraswamy Temple. The distance between the two sides of the lake is about 4 km. To the east of the temple is a branch of Ashtamudi Lake. There the distance between the main branch and the sub-branch of the lake is only 200 meters. വിദേശ ബ്ലോഗുകളില്‍ ഇനി കേരള പെരുമ നിറയ്ക്കാന്‍ കേരള ബ്ലോഗ് എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയില്‍ എത്തി. കേട്ടറിവില്‍  മാത്രം അറിഞ്ഞ കേരളത്തിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തില്‍ മതി മറന്ന് ബ്ലോഗര്‍മാര്‍. 28 രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നെത്തിയ 30 പേരടങ്ങുന്ന സംഘത്തിനെയാണ് ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ സജ്ജമാക്കിയ ബ്ലോഗ് എക്‌സ്പ്രസ്സില്‍ കേരള പര്യടനം നടത്തുന്നത്. യാത്രാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ വിവരണം, വീഡിയോയും ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ സംഘാംഗങ്ങള്‍ തത്സമയം ബ്ലോഗിലേക്ക് പകര്‍ത്തും. ഇതിനുവേണ്ട സൗകര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം വാഹനത്തിലും താമസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. യാത്രയുടെ തുടക്കത്തില്‍ പ്രകൃതിഭംഗിയുടെ കാണാക്കാഴ്ചകളാണ് മുന്നിലേക്കെത്തിയതെന്ന് സംഘാംഗങ്ങള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. കൊല്ലത്ത് ബീച്ചും കായലോരവുമൊക്കെ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചശേഷം സംഘം ആലപ്പുഴയിലേക്ക് യാത്ര തുടര്‍ന്നു. ടൂറിസം ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി ഡയറക്ടര്‍ കെ.രാജ്കുമാര്‍, അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് ഇന്‍ഫര്‍മേഷന്‍ ഓഫീസര്‍ സജീവ് എന്നിവരാണ് സംഘത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.
