Kumarakom, Kerala The Ministry of Tourism has entered into a pact to develop mobile audio-video guide application for 5 tourism sites across India. Letters of Intent has issued to seven agencies under ‘Adopt a Heritage’ Scheme for Vision Bidding. The Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, K J Alphons has handed over a Memorandum of Understanding under the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ scheme to Resbird Technologies for development of a mobile Audio Guide App for five iconic sites. Incessant power supply progrmme for major tourist places in Assam
Assam government envisages 24×7 power supply to seven tourist spots in the State and sanctioned a sum of Rs 30 crore for the project. However, due to non-release of funds the scheme is yet to be started. Sualkuchi Weaver Village Entrance Under the project the State Power Department was to ensure incessant power supply to tourist hotspots, such as Kaziranga, Kamakhya, Sualkuchi, Tezpur, Manash, Pobitora and Majuli. Colva Beach, Goa The Ministry of Tourism has identified ten prominent tourist sites for development into iconic tourist destinations in the country. The plan was announced during the Budget Announcements of 2018-19. The ministry has identified the sites based on the criteria of footfall, regional distribution, potential for development and ease of implementation.
