കൈലാസം-മാനസസരോവര്‍ യാത്ര: രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചു
കൈലാസ യാത്ര കഴിഞ്ഞു മടങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ മോശം കാലാവസ്ഥയെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് നേപ്പാളിലെ സിമിക്കോട്ടില്‍ 1565 തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകര്‍ കുടുങ്ങി. നേപ്പാളിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയവർ സുരക്ഷിതരാണെന്നും യാത്ര പുനഃരാരംഭിച്ചെന്നും കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി അൽഫോൻസ് കണ്ണന്താനം. മഴയും മഞ്ഞും മൂലമാണു യാത്ര മുടങ്ങിയത്. ആഭ്യന്തരമന്ത്രിയോടു താൻ സംസാരിച്ചു. കാലാവസ്ഥ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ടതിനാൽ തീർഥാടകർ യാത്ര പുനരാരംഭിച്ചെന്നും അവർ സുരക്ഷിതരാണെന്നും കണ്ണന്താനം പറഞ്ഞു ഭക്ഷണവും വെള്ളവുമടക്കമുള്ള അടിയന്തരാവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ അധികൃതര്‍ എത്തിച്ചു. സാധ്യമായ മറ്റ് പാതകളിലൂടെ തീര്‍ഥാടകരെ തിരികെയെത്തിക്കാനും ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് . ശക്തമായ കാറ്റുള്ളതിനാല്‍ ഹെലികോപ്ടര്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ല. ആവശ്യമെങ്കില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ സൈന്യത്തെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനും വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം തയാറെടുക്കുന്നതായാണ് സൂചന. കഴിഞ്ഞദിവസമാണ് മാനസസരോവര്‍ തീര്‍ത്ഥാടനത്തിന് പോയ അറുന്നൂറോളം പേര്‍ രണ്ടിടങ്ങളിലായി കുടുങ്ങിയത്. കുടുങ്ങിയവരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്കായി ഹോട്ട്ലൈന്‍ നമ്പറുകള്‍ സജ്ജമാക്കി. മലയാളത്തില്‍ അടക്കം സേവനം ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യന്‍ എംബസി ഹോട്ട് ലൈന്‍ നമ്പര്‍ (00977-9808500644)
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra: Online registration commences
The online reservation for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, organised by Ministry of External Affairs, has commenced. The last date for submitting applications online is March 23. Every year the ministry conducts the much looked after Kailash Mansarovar yatra during June to September through two different routes – Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand), and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY), known for its religious value and cultural significance, is undertaken by hundreds of people every year.
