Jatayu Earths Center is one of the the latest attractions of Kerala, located at Chadayamangalam in Kollam. The tourists spot includes the sculpture of the great mythical bird Jatayu mentioned in the Hindu epic Ramayana, cable car – fully manufactured in Switzerland, adventure park and helicopter local flying service. The sculpture at the Earth Centre is considered the largest bird sculpture in the world. This is the first time the state to have helicopter local flying service as part of a tourism project. Kozhikode south beach, one of the popular beaches in north Kerala, is beckoning tourists after the recent face-lift. The beach has been the dumping yard of wastes for the past few years. With the revamping works, the beach has become beautiful and is with lots of amenities to the visitors. Tourism minister Kadakampalli Surendren will inaugurate the renovated beach on 19th July 2018. Around 800 meters from the south sea bridge has been refurbished with four view spots. നിപ വൈറസിനെപ്പറ്റി അനാവശ്യ ഭീതി വേണ്ടെന്ന  ഐ എം എ ദേശീയ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോ.രവി വങ്കടേക്കറുടെ  പ്രസ്താവന  സ്വാഗതാർഹമാണെന്ന് ടൂറിസം  മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രൻ. കേരളം തികച്ചും സുരക്ഷിതമാണ്. അതിനാലാണ് രാജ്യത്തെ വിവിധയിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള മുന്നൂറോളം ഡോക്ടർമാർ രാജ്യാന്തര സെമിനാറിന് വേണ്ടി കേരളത്തിൽ എത്തിയത്. ഈ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ സന്ദർശനത്തിന് വളരെയേറെ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ട്.  ആരോഗ്യമേഖലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഡോക്ടർമാർ തന്നെയാണ് കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് യാത്ര ചെയ്യാൻ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത്. സർക്കാരിന് വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ അവരെ  അഭിവാദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. കോവളത്ത്  ഇന്ത്യൻ മെഡിക്കൽ അസോസിയേഷന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ നടന്നുവരുന്ന  അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സെമിനാറിൽ സംസാരിക്കവെയാണ് ഡോ. രവി വങ്കഡേക്കർ നിപ വൈറസിനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള അനാവശ്യ ഭീതികൾ പരത്തുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കണം എന്ന് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടത്.

വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര മേഖലകള്‍ ഇനി പോലീസ് നിയന്ത്രണത്തില്‍. ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ നടന്ന യോഗത്തിലാണ് തീരുമാനം ഉണ്ടായത്. കോവളത്ത് വിദേശ വനിതയുടെ കൊലപാതകത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് പുതിയ നടപടി. ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് മേഖലകളില്‍ കച്ചവടക്കാര്‍ക്ക് പുതിയ നിബന്ധനകള്‍ നിലവില്‍ വന്നു. കച്ചവടക്കാര്‍ക്ക് തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ രേഖയും, പോലീസ് ക്ലിയറന്‍സും, പ്രത്യേക യൂണിഫോമും നിലവില്‍ വരും. സഞ്ചാരികളുടെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്കായി ഏത് ഭാഷയിലും സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ ടോള്‍ ഫ്രീ നമ്പര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. ബീച്ചുകളിലും മറ്റ് ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലും ബറ്റാലിയന്‍ പോലീസിനെ നിയമിക്കുമെന്ന്്. മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു.

Kerala recorded the highest number of tourism arrivals in the past nine-year period, with a 10.94 per cent rise compared with the figures of last year. An increase of 15.54 lakh new tourists – domestic and foreign travellers combined – was recorded this year, with footfalls going up to 1,57,65,390 in 2017, as against 1,42,10,954 in 2016.
