Karnataka RTC’s daily bus service to Jog Falls
The special bus introduced by KSRTC (Non AC Sleeper) has a 30 seater system and is now available every day from Bangalore to Jog. KSRTC Shimoga Divisional Officer Satish.V has responded to the media. The bus will arrive at around 5.30 am. Tourists can go to the hotels and take a bath and have a snack and then visit the Varadhahalli Sridhar Ashram, Varadhalam, Ikkeri, Padiyadi and Jog falls. The Jog Falls is ready to receive tourists
Karnataka government is all set to launch a new project in connection with the famous Jog Falls. Boating and an amphitheater are planned. The government initially aims to launch a ropeway to the Padmavathi Temple, 400 meters from the Jog Falls. Attempts are also being made to provide boating facilities under the falls. Karnataka Power Corporation Limited is responsible for the construction of the project. The government aims to make Jog a world-class tourist destination. Waterfalls in Karnataka beckon tourists in monsoon
Jog Falls Unlike the monsoon seasons earlier, this year the tourism sector of Karnataka is experiencing a boom, instead of shortfall in the number of tourists. Incessant rains these days have revived the rivers and waterfalls, which lure a number of tourists during this off season. “Earlier, June and July were considered off-season. Now there is a change in the trend. People like to travel during monsoon.
