Jharkhand to acquire Ranchi Ashok Bihar hotel
Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Thursday directed senior officials to initiate action to acquire ITDC’s Ranchi Ashok Bihar Hotel that had been lying idle for over three years. At a meeting held at the state secretariat at Project Bhavan, Hemant discussed the possibility of a full take-over of the property with chief secretary Sukhdev Singh, his principal secretary Rajeev Arun Ekka, finance and planning secretary Himani Pandey and tourism secretary Pooja Singhal. High Court asks Jharkhand govt to open information kiosks at major centres
Naulakha Mandir, Deoghar The Jharkhand High Court referred about a more “proactive role” of the state government to promote tourism in the state. The HC has suggested that the government should open information kiosks at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi and railway stations to help visitors. A division bench of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice Ratnaker Bhengra, while hearing a PIL filed by one Babloo Kumar, said the kiosks could come up at the airport and railway stations of primary districts to begin with. Jharkhand woes film enthusiasts
Many of the picturesque destinations of Jharkhand will soon be on film, as the state tourism department feels it will help prospective visitors make up their minds to select their choice of place to visit when they plan their vacation. റാഞ്ചി: ടൂറിസം വികസനത്തില്‍ മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ കണ്ട് പഠിക്കാന്‍ ഝാര്‍ഖണ്ഡ് സര്‍ക്കാരിനോട് റാഞ്ചി ഹൈക്കോടതി. സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുടെ ദയനീയ സ്ഥിതിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പൊതുതാല്‍പ്പര്യ ഹര്‍ജി പരിഗണിക്കുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു കോടതിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം. ഝാര്‍ഖണ്ഡ് സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ വികസിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പ്രാദേശിക ജനങ്ങളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്തം ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തണമെന്നും ജസ്റ്റിസുമാരായ അപരേഷ് കുമാര്‍ സിംഗ്,രത്നാകര്‍ ഭേംഗ്ര എന്നിവരടങ്ങിയ ബെഞ്ച്‌ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശിച്ചു. സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ടൂറിസം വികസനത്തില്‍ തുറന്ന സമീപനമാണ് വേണ്ടതെന്ന് കോടതി പറഞ്ഞു. കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന്‍റെ സ്വദേശ് ദര്‍ശന്‍ പദ്ധതിയില്‍പ്പെടുത്തി സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഏറെ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തെന്ന് ഝാര്‍ഖണ്ഡ് ടൂറിസം സെക്രട്ടറി മനീഷ് രഞ്ജന്‍ കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചു. വികസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ട നിരവധി സ്ഥലങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടിക ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദേവ്ഘര്‍,ബസുകിനാഥ് തുടങ്ങി ബുദ്ധ,ജൈന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ പട്ടികയിലുണ്ട്. കലാ-സാംസ്കാരിക വകുപ്പിനെ ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പുമായി സംയോജിപ്പിച്ചെന്നു ടൂറിസം സെക്രട്ടറി കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചു. ടൂറിസം വികസനത്തിന്‌ ഇതുവരെ സ്വീകരിച്ച നടപടികള്‍ സത്യവാംഗ്മൂലമായി നല്‍കാന്‍ കോടതി സര്‍ക്കാരിനോട് നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു. കേസ് ആറാഴ്ചക്കു ശേഷം പരിഗണിക്കും.
