ജമ്മുകശ്മീരില്‍ പ്രളയമുണ്ടാവാനുള്ള സാധ്യത കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് പഹല്‍ഗാം റൂട്ടിലൂടെയുള്ള അമര്‍നാഥ് യാത്ര റദ്ദ്‌ചെയ്തു. ശക്തമായ മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യയുള്ളതിനാല് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ബല്‍ത്താര്‍ മാര്‍ഗ്ഗമുള്ള യാത്രയും റദ്ദ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. Photo Courtesy: Aasif Shafi/Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images അടിക്ക് മുകളില്‍ ഝലം നദീജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയര്‍ന്നതാണ് ഇത്തരമൊരു ജാഗ്രതയ്ക്ക് കാരണം. 21 അടിവരെയാണ് ഝലം നദിയുടെ അപകട രഹിതമായ ജല നിരപ്പായി നിര്‍ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ബാല്‍ടാല്‍ പഹല്‍ഗാം റൂട്ടുകളിലെ ചാഞ്ചാടുന്ന കാലാവസ്ഥയും മോശം റോഡുകളും കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് അമര്‍നാഥ് യാത്ര റദ്ദാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നാണ് ജമ്മു പോലീസ് കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ റൂം അറിയിച്ചത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് ദിവസമായി പെയ്ത അതിശക്തമായ മഴയാണ് ഝലം നദീജലനിരപ്പ് ഉയരാന്‍ കാരണം. ആനന്ദ്‌നഗര്‍ ജില്ലയിലെ സംഗമിലും ശ്രീനഗറിലെ റാം മുന്‍ഷി ബാഗിലുമാണ് ഝലം നദീജല നിരപ്പ് അപകടകരമാംവിധം ഉയര്‍ന്നത്. ശ്രീനഗറില്‍ നിലവിലെ സ്ഥിതിഗതികളെ കുറിച്ച് ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഉന്നതതലസമിതി യോഗം ചേര്‍ന്നു. താഴ്വാരങ്ങളില്‍ താമസിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരെ അടിയന്തിര ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പദ്ധതികള്‍ ആവിഷ്‌കരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ... The state government of Jammu and Kashmir has recently opened an alternate seven kilometre track to the Vaishno Devi shrine, atop a hillock overlooking Katra town in Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). Tarakote Marg will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 19. Jammu and Kashmir’s new ropeway project, which is expected to boost tourism, is all set for a trial run this month. “The ropeway project will boost tourism and add to aesthetics of the city,” said Minister of State for Tourism Priya Sethi after reviewing the progress of the project. A low danger avalanche warning has been issued by the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), across various hilly regions in Jammu and Kashmir. All tourist in the valley is advised to take safety measures, considering the weather condition. According to an official statement from Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, the following regions are under threat- Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Kupwara, Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Kulgam, Badgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Gurez in Kashmir, besides Srinagar-Jammu National Highway for the next 24 hours. The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) is planning to conduct the 64th Annual Convention at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) at Srinagar on 27th March. “The primary focus of this cultural extravaganza is to promote tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and reinforce its position on the tourism map as a major draw for travellers,” said Sunil Kumar, President of TAAI. The State Disaster Management Authority of Kerala has directed the government to enforce a fishing ban after the India Meteorology Department warned of rain, squally winds and rough sea conditions and extended its advisory for fishermen. The Chief Minister’s office has directed District Collectors to disseminate the weather warning to fishermen. The Departments of Revenue and Fisheries and the Coastal police have also been advised to remain vigilant. Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, located at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, is all set to open for tourist from March 25, ahead of the Tulip fest 2018. Spread across 30 hectors, the garden is the largest of its kind in Asia that contains nearly 1.5 million tulips. Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Tourism Tassaduq Hussain Mufti said the state government has adopted a multipronged strategy to harness the tourism potential and position J&K as the leading global destination.
